  1. I wouldn't say he lacks IQ, I'd say his skillset is raw/unfinished. He needs a few years of fine tuning, you did hit the nail on the head though. Despite certain obvious struggles, he was an impact player which should inspire a ton of optimism. We are gonna have some imposing wingers in a few years.
  2. He wanted gold. It's whatever, I honestly like guys who just want to win.
  3. Def not. Byfield is a beast and seems to be relatively healthy. Patrick's a great player, just unfortunate he's had some bad luck.
  4. Imagine if we renamed every thread according to what everyone was talking about....there'd be hundreds of +/- thread titles. Lol
  5. No. Lol giving up a guy who is near ppg at 22 is a bad idea. Especially if we are just crossing our fingers that they actually become NHL players.
  6. The +/- hubbub needs to stop. It's a dumb stat.
  7. Solid game, nothing flashy. Had some shots, low quality chances though. Good defensively but a bit lost at the other end.
  8. I don't know, the way pod plays is absolutely dangerous. Just needs to put it all together on a consistent basis. He can totally be an impactful top 9 guy who can go up and down the lineup as needed. I'll stay optimistic until I have reason not to.
  9. Lol that would be upsetting.
  10. Man watching stutzle today was a treat. Hes raw for sure but man, he oozes confidence and he is so hungry. I can see him going top 5.
  11. ...Hodgson was a great player who just ran into health problems.
  12. Exactly. No point in comparing apples to oranges. Total different players, different circumstances, different roles. Let them develop.
  13. It's not a must make playoffs year but it would do our young guys well if we snuck in. Just getting a taste is huge. Lots of strong wingers in the top half tho, Anton Lundell would be first on my list (plays wing and center). Holtz, Raymond, stutzle, and gunler are other options.
  14. Woah Woah Woah lol he's not our second best offensive defenseman. He's been in the AHL all year, relax lol. What he's doing deserves a call up for sure but be patient.
  15. I'll be honest, him showing up to camp unprepared frustrated me. Super stoked to see things going his way, the key here is maturity and he's started to understand how to be a pro.
  16. Continues to produce at a great pace. Glad to see him shutting people up.
  17. Well Utica was pretty was last year and streaky this year. I wouldn't look too much into it atm.
  18. It doesn't happen often. Not worth wasting our time thinking that way.
  19. I wouldn't say his development has slowed, the team hes on isn't nearly as good offensively as the team he was on last year. Sucks to see his numbers down but let's not panic prematurely.
  20. It varies man lol Obviously 18-21 are important years but the majority of players make it around 22-25. Players develop differently, throw in injuries and it becomes absolutely unpredictable.
  21. We have been playing bad. I wouldn't say our loses are directly linked to those two being out. We just need to be better.
  22. We are looking pretty solid down the middle. Adding numbers is one thing but we have one of the best young center groups in the league.
