  1. 9 games 1 point minus 5 11:30 average toi. I'm not big into plus minus for obvious reasons but since he's by far our worst forward in that regard. I'd say he's been an anchor to the team. And as for playing out of position he's always been a C/LW so its not really outta position.
  2. His skating is probably on par when you factor the size differance. He was a forward once aswell and I believe his skating is one of his best assets. I think I might have read something comparing his stride with Duncan Keith's or someone else once. I'll see if I can find it a little later.
  3. Just to give him a taste of the NHL life then send him back to dominate.
  4. I hope Vey has really worked on his faceoffs over the summer. Having a good right handed centerman would be ideal since everyone else is a lefty. As much as I'd like to see Bo make the team.
  5. He played 22 games in the men's league for all of 6 points for a struggling MODO. and played nearly 60 games against U20 where he actually showcased himself. Its not like he was dominant against older compitetion.
  6. I'd be willing to bet Benn-Seguin-Hemsky work out well next year. Same with Drouin-Stamkos-Callahan. I'm not saying McCann wouldn't look good with the 2. I just think that skill/style should be spread out, Making it harder to match lines against. Having a line with less of a one dimensional style can be harder to gain a read on. Like the Sedins everyone in the NHL knows there game. They know its going to cycle.
  7. BMO was of the same mold and fit in with Bert and Naslund. Two players of complete different styles. You can't just have players that all play the same game on the same line. You need some diversity. Plus Bo could cover for Hunter and Virtanen and still chip while still producing in faceoffs and gritty points.
  8. I think they'd compliment each other very well. Jake carries the puck in tries for his shot. Bo is the trailer looking for the rebound. And Hunter could be the speedy playmaker who can also finish and keep up with Jake.
  9. Pretty sure there's this Kovalchuk guy too. I hear he's pretty good.
  10. Doesn't make it any less true though.
  11. Really excited to see this guy in the future.
  12. I agree Fabbri might be a bit of a reach at #36 was just trying to think of smaller guys who may drop a bit. I like the idea of Virtanen/Vrana over Nylander-Ehlers/Pollock but that's just me. Smaller players with talent fall more then larger ones with talent lots of teams might take a flyer on Pollock between 25-35 . I just think we should grab a bigger skilled guy while they're available. But saying all this at the end of the day I'll be happy whoever we walk away with.
  13. Or take Virtanen at #6 And take one of the smaller skilled guys who drop, Like they always do at #36 like Fabbri or Vrana
  14. It was only a matter of time before someone figured out how to use it like that. Hopes and prayers to the families
  15. I'd like to do Kesler to Anahiem 10th, 24th, Shea Theodore to Van 6th and 10th to Florida for 1st Essentially Kesler for Reinhardt, 24th, Theodore
  16. Didn't that Rene guy end up leaking quite a bit of Canucks info this season first though?
  17. He could be a #1 immediately? He wasn't even a #1 where we traded him to. Goalies never get a huge return in trades. I thought the Bernier comparison was pretty fair as far as trade value. I'd rather have No then what LA got
  18. I agree with everything you've said here. If we do end up with Ritchie unless he earns a spot out of camp there's no way I'd think of keeping him up next year. Send him down, give him a game plan, and make him hungry. Should be the strategy with every pick past maybe the top 3 in almost any draft. In Ritchie's case unless he really steals a spot in camp one more year of offensive development and physical conditioning would be ideal for him.
  19. I was mostly poking fun about how everyone's argument is now turning into a contest about accusing the other of only reading into what they want to read from what's been said. And both sides are doing it. Personally I believe they'll take either a top 5 faller or one of Virtanen/Ritchie. But I'd be just as happy with Ehlers or whoever they pick. They all have pros and con's.
  20. I honestly just can't wait until after the draft so Merci and Absent will be able to sound off about something else. Lindens already been interviewed and has stated he's excited about the prospect of adding a big winger at #6. And Benning has also said they're going to talk to the scouts about getting bigger. But obviously this is just me spinning what they said into what I wanted, since we're obviously going to draft Nylander or Ehlers because Benning actually said he likes talent and skill in the top 6... God I hate this thread and yet somehow I can't leave!!
  21. I'm glad Benning will be with the team leading up to the draft. I wonder if Boston let him join out of good faith, or if the difference in draft position maybe helped since Boston will be targeting later in the first couple of rounds. And they probably haven't had there final meetings for recommended later round picks so he might not necessarily be in the know as to who they'd target past maybe the first and 2nd rounds.
