  1. Just someone who admits to barely watching games but spends half his time critiquing prospects and young players. Ftr I never said he was a troll per say, just that I'd enjoy a week without him.
  2. Best. Week. Ever. Next time you should see if you, Desi, Downunda, and Chili can all split a groupon. Really treat yourselves, I'd bet you would all have a fantastic time! I mean you all seem like such enjoyable people..
  3. I'm well aware you always have, you make sure to mention it in every thread you post at every opportunity you see. You even try to be somewhat subtle about it sometimes which is probably the most annoying part. Jake must haunt your dreams, do you lay down at night and suddenly realize we didn't choose whoever you wanted, then curl up into a ball and rock yourself to sleep? Or if your eating a nice steak dinner. Do you make sure not to watch any Canucks highlights, because the simple mentioning of James name probably upsets your whittle tummy? Poor little muffin. But seriously keep crying about it.
  4. So you're comparing developing players who are still very young, to stanley cup championship teams?.. Maybe you're just super determined to not realize these players are all developing still. Getzlaf and Perry weren't running around like they do now in their first few years, same with anyone on L.A. or Boston (minus Lucic the freak of nature) when the cores of those teams came together, they all developed into it once they were acclimated to the league they were playing in. There's random exceptions like Lucic or Tom Wilson who step into the league and do that stuff right away, but those are rare players. Bo and Gaunce both have leadership qualities, running around trying to get at guys would take away from that. And I ain't your buddy, guy lol
  5. How many 20 year olds are skating around the NHL protecting teammates? I'd be willing to bet not many.
  6. I've seen Bo drive the net multiple times per game this season, while he isn't quite doing it as often as he was when his hot streak started, it's still a pretty big part of his game. Not sure how you don't see that.
  7. So he'll likely struggle with off season training and limp through camp. Hopefully it won't hamper him, I'd like to see him at 100%
  8. I really like this idea, can we start a thread just specifically for Desi too? We could call it "illiterate hockey ramblings" or just keep it simple "BoSang the Savior"
  9. To be fair he's basically sitting between 500 pounds of human in that picture lol
  10. Every time I see there's a new post in this thread I just assume Nylander must have scored.
  11. I don't really see the point in saying stuff like this, just makes it seem like you're just talking so you can sound right. There's a chance he becomes the 3rd best player out of the draft, however small that chance is why not encourage it instead of just trying to sound right by stating what is still an opinion no matter what you think, as fact.
  12. Anyone notice Murphy trying to get Virtanen off the puck when they drew that first tripping penalty. Leaned on him 3-4 times and couldn't even move him, and Murphy's a big boy
  13. I honestly haven't read one person say they expect him to step on the ice and just be Chara. Not saying some won't pop out and complain when that doesn't happen, but those people are trolls or simply lack hockey knowledge (looking at you Desi) 99% of the people posting about him seem to have tempered expectations.
  14. Nobody cares, he could have taken that puck to the eye while wearing a hula skirt and dancing the Macarena and no one here would care. Have you figured out why yet? Because he's not ours!
  15. My phone went bat crap crazy that's why it posted so many times haha. And I also agree that it wasn't necessarily solely poor drafting but also trading futures for a cup contending team. Which no one complained about at the time.
  16. He's filling in the 20-25 year old range of players that we're missing from Gillis's first few years. And generally unloading players he doesn't see as long term fixtures, or picks. I think he's doing a fantastic job since generally the players he's gathering were all higher picks that haven't panned out, but still seem to have a legitimate chance to at least contribute something at the NHL level. Even if it's only bottom six contributors or bottum pairing defenceman that's still positive.

  21. Tough to say, likely to be some F/A additions or trades rather than all prospects. But it's hard not to like the look of the youth
  22. I hope he keeps pushing at the very least, this team has actually gotten really young, really quickly. I'd prefer him at 3c as opposed to Vey with Bo and Jared lining up at 1/2 But there's still Sutter, Henrik, Vey for him to pass permanently
  23. If the oilers haven't had a bad draft then name someone on their team picked after the first round in those "not bad drafts"
