Hi guys, the magic number game is back, and it'll be more streamlined and simplified moving forward! I will be providing text updates as the season finishes up. The last time I did a chart was back in 2014-2015 when the canucks made the playoffs. Right now, here is the Canucks Magic #: Clinching Numbers (For Vancouver) Playoffs: Projected Points: 93 Projected Magic #: 7.5 Record to Achieve: 7-5-1 Division: Projected Points: 100 Projected Magic #: 11.0 Record to Achieve: 11-2-0 Conference: Projected Points: 109 Projected Magic #: 15.5 Record to Achieve: Not Achievable President's Trophy: Projected Points: 118 Projected Magic #: 20.0 Record to Achieve: Not Achievable Updated: March 10th

We can rise above the yotes as well as we hold the tiebreaker in the ROW column -
[GDT] Penguins @ Canucks Dec 21 7PM on CBC Winter Solstice Edition
cleowin replied to Baer.'s topic in Canucks Talk
For everyone wondering, a win tonight puts Vancouver within 1 pt of WC2 assuming we get help from the out of town scoreboard, so there's still lots of hope! But we need to ideally finish 2-3 games above.500 in December, so we need to win out here! too early to call any game a 'must win', but if this team wants to give themselves a better chance to make the playoffs, winning now only helps! -

Great news, and edler inching closer to a return, that just leaves leivo and ferland on IR then. So we're pretty damn close to healthy! Hopefully no further injuries! -

[GDT] Philadelphia Flyers At A Team Like That October 12 7PM CBC
cleowin replied to AlwaysACanuckFan's topic in Canucks Talk
Id like to point out that CBC is just the channel that broadcasts the game, Rogers owns sportsnet and sportsnet is technically the network for HNIC. Therefore, J&J could call this game if that's how they were assigned. But that being aside, why listen to J&J all 82? They are not even that exciting, I fall asleep to their commentary most of the time. The best guys are Randorf & Hughson. Also its Randorf / DeBrusk calling tonights game. -
This really sucks because i screenshot tickets to send to people who come with me because i am often late, how am i supposed to get them in now without providing access to my account?

[Rumor] Boeser Camp Eyeing 4 Year Deal Worth $28M
cleowin replied to buddyguy's topic in Trades, Rumours, Signings
Am I the only one who thinks Boeser doesnt envision himself here long term? Why would he? He spends his entire off-season / breaks in Minny and just rents a downtown Vancouver Condo during the season. Doesn't sound like a guy who is thinking of long term with the Canucks. I feel he wants to make sure he'll get max value and get a chance to go play for his hometown team of Minnesota -
I really dont want Myers, his offensive game isnt the best, and is a liability on the backend at times. I'd rather have Gardiner who can put up some offense.

You know all 14 of these defenseman will end up playing a game this season, with the exception of maybe Jett Woo

Phoenix can pick up one point, but thats it. Canucks will hold the tiebreaker, unless the canucks win all 4 in the shootout
-
The yotes can recieve one loser point until the dallas game, in which they HAVE to win, unless the stars manage to pick up another loser point, in that case, a regulation win in the finale is a must. The Canucks cannot beat the stars in a tiebreaker situation. Canucks can get a single loser point, so as long phoenix and dallas lose out, in the exception of the finale, which then, the yotes must win in regulation

Phx and dal have to have leaf like collapse at this point

[GDT] Canucks - Kings Saturday April 5th 7:00 PM
cleowin replied to Alex the Great's topic in Canucks Talk
Dal And phx can only Go 1-4-1 and 1-3-1 respectively, if vancouver finds a way to win out. The odds are very unlikely, but its mathematically possible -
Minnesota just has to lose 5 of their final 8 games, and the Stars 5 of their final 10, and Vancouver going 6-0-1 to make the playoffs. It's not off the guard. PHoenix is not going to be caught, they are just too hot. It'll be Min/Dal/Van for the final playoff spot in the west.
