  1. Would it be possible to turn him into a defenceman? He has a good shot, he is great at wheeling the puck up the ice. He can hit. I think he plays high level inline hockey as a D in the summer.
  2. Cant sign and keep playing in college. Likely end of their season unless he wants to go back (i think)

    Position change maybe?
  4. Im happy with that. Seems like a good safe pick. Hopefully horvat 2.0

he seems to over balance a lot in board battles. I wonder if needs a bit more time to grow into his frame or something. he seems so smart with his positioning and stick placement though. a bit more speed (first few steps) and some confidence he could be dangerous.
  6. I know he took some heat from wd in pre season but i thoughy he looked very decent.
  7. in that translated interview he seemed like he saw the flaws in his game and really wanted to get better. really surprised he doesn't want to go down. its not like he'll be trapped down there forever. he must be itching to play. oh well.
  8. I'm surprised tram himself doesn't see Utica as his best option. If it was me I'd like to learn a bit first before jumping into the big leagues. However maybe being in a small town in utica might be lonely etc. i don think I've heard anything that he is 100% against Utica. NOr have I heard if he has been formally asked.
  9. As much as id like tram in against a bigger team it will be good to see how larsen fares. Larsen was solid against carolina but this will be a test.
  10. i think thats the thing is larsen seems scared to take hits and stetcher seems like he at least doesnt look afraid in the board battles and with forecheckers coming in like larsen does. . I imagine at practices larsen looks as good or even better that stetcher during drills etc. stetcher is just seems so much more assertive with the puck than larsen, he seems to want the puck on his stick more than larsen.
  11. Where do you guys see him playing next year? Ahl, Finland? What's bett for his development do you think?
  12. Auto correct. I have written linden a few times lol. I meant surely they ask these guys if they are happy to be drafted right?
  13. Do you think GMs ask college guys if they would be willing to sign in the draft interview? Has any player apart from lindens ever said "don't draft me, I'd Peter to go elsewhere " in the interview. Does this mean Brock doesn't attend camp? (I think his season would start first right?) it would be nice to see him in the prospects and exhibition games even though he always intends to go back to school for the year.
  14. Only saw the 3rd but demko looked good. Big guy. Moved well.
  15. the way he sweeps the puck away with ease is pretty cool. he must be so strong

    Is gaunce in tonight?
  17. Is granlundsnshot better than veys? I wonder how he would do in that high slot that vey is often in. His WJC goals stemmed like an OK release.
  18. Listening to the Benning presser he alludes that he feels the goals hunter scored maybe he couldn't replicate in the NHL due to his lack of strength and his release....interesting. Seemed like he had a good release to me. Benning seemed high on Gaunces 'details' too which is good. Hopefully see gaunce up soon. I might have to go and watch some old flames games, cant really recall much about granlunds game.
  19. you guys know more than me, but what's your take on how easy it is to teach that stuff? people say power forwards take time right.
  20. Can he attend camp next year if he pays his own way? Then decide on more school depending on how he goes or does he probably finish out with college?
  21. had a couple of nice takeaways last night. If we can see more of that, especially on the forcheck he would be so dangerous.

What do ypu guys think of Hutton gap control? Any d-coaches wanna chime in? Thought he backed up a bit at times last few games. Just being picky mind you.

no-one would trade for webber would they? i think we were the only suitors over the summer
  24. It didn't really work for Jensen but is there a European option?
  25. +1. I watched the leafs, habs game, nylander was in hard on the puck in the corners a lot, but yeah he doesn't lay anyone out. But his puck retrieval is very good. Some on here saying he is soft are off the mark I think. Buut nylander did make more than a few miscues with his passing as jake was criticized for, so no one player far superior just yet.
