      I honestly don't know what Tallon was thinking when he waived. Grabner is really showing his potential as a 30 goal scorer. Reminds me of Patrik Elias.

      It's weird. I had a dream where we faced the Ducks in the playoffs. Which would mean they had upset the Red Wings in first round (if the current standings are the same at the end of the season). Even the cup winning teams need some luck too you know.

      because it wasn't a cheap shot, nor a spear? He just stuck the stick between the legs. Hockey players do that all the time, especially in scrums/battles in front of the net.

    Frankly, it WOULD be nice to have Salo back in the lineup, but if he's not physically ready he might as well retire already. Our depth can handle the loss and the team needs the cap space. Also, dream trade: MayRay for Grabovski

      Canucks actually played really well tonight, EXCEPT the 7 or so minutes after Stastny scored. Before that, the Canucks were playing a real solid grinding defensive game. But you're right, we will have to play really well tomorrow or San Jose could destroy us.

    Chicago will regret letting Niemo go. Turco is too old, and crawford definitely unproven.

      He may have been insulated by their defence, but he deserved to win. Don't just look at his average-ish save pct. and GAA. I watched most of the games he played in. He was excellent. And he will continue to be, for whatever team picks him up next season.

      Name me the last cup-winning rookie goalie that turned into a flop. Let's see: Roy, Dryden, and Ward all turned out to be NHL quality. Niemi might not be with the league's best, but he is worthy.
