  1. You might be right but what a silly incident to make you think so.
  2. Yeah that quotes a mess. I think he just means work harder?
  3. Vanek is Austrian. Biega is Canadian.
  4. this may be controversial but if anyone were to take #14 I would want it to be Pettersson
  5. At first glance it seems like a way of getting him more involved in team dynamics.
  6. those future line ups are always so silly. too much changes year to year for them to ever be accurate. For those line ups to be accurate all of these things would have to come true: Every prospect reaches potential No one drafted after 2017 would make the team No one traded after 2017 would be on the team (or be excluded from the team) No one signed as a FA after 2017 would be on the team (or excluded for leaving via free agency) ((other than Evander Kane because everyone who does these line ups wants him signed and has him on the top line.)) I don't know why this has always bothered me so much haha If people want to make these lists and they have fun with it, then that's cool. I'm just going to judge silently from now on
  7. when you put it like that, AHL live doesnt seem like such a bad deal!
  8. I like this path for a late rounder. Physically this guy is ready for NA, SHL is a damn good league to work on his skills in.
  9. Also, I'm certain Team USA and probably Team Canada are scouting the NCAA heavily right now. So maybe Granato hasn't seen him personally but his scouts are reporting in about Gaudette.
  10. Roy was great for Buffalo for awhile. I always remember rick jeanneret saying "Derek Roy top shelf! where mama hides the cookies!"
  11. why play at a quasi pro level when you can play at a pro pro level? New year, new challenges.
  12. The idea would be to loan him to a European club to play against professionals. Olli is too advanced for juniors another year.
  13. Or he could end up signing with a different SHL team. I think they truly intend to decide after training camp. Young stars could possibly be enough of an indication to make a decision if Dahlen plays extremely well.
  14. no scrimmage for lockwood. did he leave the camp early?
  15. problem is Gagner is dead weight 5v5. this team is going to be bad probably, I don't see him having anything close to the season he had with CBJ, here. I'd much rather try the Jordan Weal experiment on a short term deal.
  16. users forget how a forum is supposed to work all the time around here. Best to ignore it
  17. Petersson or mittlestadt makar or heiskanen in a perfect situation Canucks take one of the d men with 3rd oa from Dallas and feel comfortable reaching a bit to take petersson at 5. Mittlestadt is going to get stronger. NCAA players, especially those who play for a big ten school, have access to the finest facilities and strength coaching available. There is a huge emphasis on fitness in college sports. Those guys work out hard 5 days a week.
  18. look for his International highlights to see him remain the best skater on the ice against quality competition.
  19. AHL or SHL would be preferable
  20. He could take a page from Brock's book and get the puck off of his stick more quickly. Most of his turnovers/errors were from not giving up the puck when he had a chance and skating himself into oblivion. I like how he can make the first guy miss in tight quarters but he needs to make a decision with the puck afterward much more quickly.
  21. Same. Play style and pedigree seemed like a great fit to me.
  22. Any seeing highlights of these games? he has been on a serious tear through the playoffs
  23. those are the two areas you see the differences between shinkaruk and nylander. i highlighted the question and answered it
