What?!! Tony G is the worst of the lot to me, He is so negative all the time. He comes across as a smug know-it-all, his voice is whiney, and he seems to have a man crush on Mike Gillis for some reason. Can't stand him. The segments that I look forward to on that station is any with Ray Ferraro because of his stories, and Jason Botchford because I agree with a lot that he has to say, but he is far better in the Provies than he is on Team1040. I can stomach Pierre McGuire, Bob McKenzie and Craig Button as well. Joey Kenward is the typical homer, Dave Tomlinson never brings anything interesting to the table, Kuzma is a bore.
once you realize sports talk radio is essentially pro wrestling, the whole thing becomes more entertaining.

i think the canucks are at a point where they have to use this pick and develop their own guy. I like the centers in the top 10 this year. Outside of the top 5, Elias Pettersson stands out to me.

awesome forecheck there. didnt look like he touched the puck to me

UND fans are pretty crazy but the game is in Fargo

Hoping to hear some good news on goldy today. If the rest of the season is about giving new/young guys a chance we need at least one who can score. Crossing my fingers he can stick with bo and Baer

Windsor is hosting the mem cup this year. Guaranteed to have a Canucks prospect to watch in the tournament now

His English is pretty broken so I think we can attribute some of his "cockiness" to that.
He'll need to learn though because he might rub some people the wrong way sometimes especially in Vancity.
That's what I've been thinking. english is full of adjectives to soften the point you're trying to make. Talking to the media takes time for russian players

Why not all three of the college kids go pro next year?
Lockwood-Gaudette-Boeser
Of course Brock probably goes straight to the NHL but that'd a fun line to watch if somehow they all played a season with Utica.
An all ushl line. It's awesome to see for a fan who's been watching ushl hockey for 20+ years. Now if the Canucks could draft a Des Moines Buccaneer I'd be complete.

Moving the puck with purpose and confidence. Looking good as a 2 or 3 line wing. Whoda thunk it

He's running out of time, thats for sure.
Drafted in 2012, 4 years after the fact and its time to make the team.
Either as a 4th liner or 13th forward.
If he is going to get better then he needs to get used to playing with the big boys.
If he doesn't make the team this year then he will have only one more year to avoid being called the b-word, bust.
I don't agree with you at all. He'll be with the team on a sort of part time basis this year and will be in the opening night roster next year. Barring the unforeseen of course.

I'd say he looked slightly taller than subban

Really validated my hype for him today. I might have to give Boeser my first born if he pans out for us.
Why would he want your kid?

Hope not. Strictly for guillaumes sake

I would guess pronman prefers olli's steady intelligent approach to provorov's higher risk style. Both fantastic players.
The fact we have a guy being measured against provorov as one of the best junior defensemen in the world is incredible
for the orgs future.

I don't like being hard on prospects, but am I the only one who thinks his first year in north america was a huge disappointment? 15 goals in the QMJHL for a 169LB offensive oriented prospected in his +1 draft year. His teammate Nicolas Roy was taken 20 spots earlier (also 4th round) and scored 48 goals and is 6'4 200 lbs (just for sake of comparison).
Can't win them all, I just had higher hopes than what he has delivered. Still young, doesn't mean he can't turn it around.Huge disappointment is an overstatement. Goal totals aren't the only metric. Especially for a guy who is more of a playmaker. He was just shy of PPG

Yes

i think without any additions to the forwards, the canucks are going to have to make a line up that is not a traditional top 6 & bottom 6. its more like a top 3 and bottom 9.

definitely just looks like anticipating a line change. and sort of a reflexive reaction when he reached out and grabbed his jersey for that split second. nothing to this one.

I want to see Rodin on the second line with Sutter and Hansen. That is a good two-way line offensively and defensively. Rodin comes into the league as a wild card. I think he would be a good complement to Sutter and Hansen. We won't have the best second line but it would allow our third line to consist of Baertschi-Horvat-Virtanen. Which I think will make up for any potential slack. Rodin is 25 year's old, he doesn't need kid treatment. I think we should try him out there for a couple games and see if we found our second line LW. It's a new trend among teams to go for that prime aged European as they're already fully developed and used to playing with real men. My lineup
Sedin Sedin Eriksson
Rodin Sutter Hansen
Baertschi Horvat Virtanen
Burrows Granlund Dorsett
(Etem, Gaunce)
This isn't bad. Rodin and Hansen on a line together would be a fast pair

His personality reminds me of Schneids. That's gotta count for something.

what is this discussion? He's playing for London next year.
