I hope he comes to NA to have his medical treatment (if necessary) under the Canucks advisement. If he's not good to go this year, it would be great to have him kick start his north american experience early. getting used to the culture, rehabbing, and start training with his new teammates this offseason.
basically, the sooner he's here, the better.

But but! he didn't score at the WJC guuuys!

I hope he gets a few games and a long leash with Kopecky. This could be the opportunity he needs.

I really hope he's in a NA league next year. Unless he's getting good minutes with his pro team, I think he'd be better off learning NA style hockey.

Can't wait to see what he does in the beanpot. Prestigious mid-season tourney, all the boston area teams really bring their A game for it. would be great to see him perform well

Torn between voting for the local boy Alex Petan or our own prospect
haha I'm certain Demko will end up top 15. I think it would be safe to throw some votes Petan's way.

Hahaha poor kid is on pace to catch up to Salo's Canuck injury record.
You know you're laughing at a guy's livelihood being in serious jeopardy right?

I'm hoping that Tryamkin comes over to Van next season. Not sure if he has an out clause to the NHL, though.
his contract will have expired by next season so no worries there. I just hope he is willing to report to Utica once his KHL season is over.

I've no issue with posters critiquing our young players but they should acknowledge when the youngsters play well too. Virtanen was a stand out player in the first period yesterday but the naysayers were dead silent.
The silence is acknowledgement enough for me.

Hopefully it's just a bit of healing and more precautionary not rushing him back. It's probably a good sign he was able to tough it out for the following game.
I hope it is a good sign but this is the kid that played with 2 bum hips for 2 full seasons.

glad he got a goal. that should blunt some pitchforks and douse a few torches.

nice try I don't have to defend his play spoke for itself. can you say that about Boeser.... ya ya till the next development test. Konecny will be playing in the NHL next year as he should have made the flyers team this year from his play in preseason. Is Boeser even remotely close to anything like that or is he better off getting his degree. lol I'm done here Ive proven my point so far. and its not about Boeser, its about Benning.
This comment says it all, to me. It proves your short-sightedness. You can't see past the very moment you're standing in.
Life after hockey exists, and, lasts much longer than a playing career. The fact you think it would be funny for him to get a degree really shows the lack of mental capacity people are trying to argue with. Trying to reason with you is like trying to stuff a bowling ball into a ziploc bag.

I would have characterized it as sad rather than funny.
True tho.
No, it's funny. No sympathy for the willingly ignorant.

I actually think the Q is a great league to transition from big ice. It's a smaller ice surface yet there is still lots of room. I think it is much better than going straight to the AHL. Doing good for a late pick.
Yeha, it's much better for him to be in junior developing while he's still physically developing. you can tell by looking at him he has a lot of growing left. It's awesome to see him improve every week this year!

see? completely worthless to read these boards right now.

how do i forget how much i can't stand being on these boards during the WJC?? The excessive scrutiny is exhausting

Chicoutimi is inching their way into a playoff spot. I really hope they make it, Zhuk is a guy that definitely needs to play as much hockey as possible during his junior career.
