  1. C-Mike is a really fast and agile back but he goes down with minimal contact which doesn't exactly fit with the Seahawks O-line abilities. He should be able to find some big holes with Dallas's O-line and pull off some big runs. Another knock on him is he is fumble prone but if he can get that worked out he should be a good pick up for the Cowboys.

  2. I like Lulay but I have wanted to see what someone else could do for quite some time. He has no accuracy on his long ball and his decision making is not up to speed with what is happening on the field. I don't think Beck is the answer but until Lulay gets his stuff together he is the better choice.

  3. If they got caught, they would've been deemed guilty. They weren't and it's why they took the league to court and won. If they knew they did wrong, Brady and co would accept the initial penalty and just move on.

Pats were caught for spygate. How come the league didn't give them a free pass then like they are now according to you? They could've done what they did now to make "it at least look like they tried and just failed". Right? Right.

And yea, they didn't cheat. There's no proof they did and the igl proves their innocence as a matter of fact. Heck even the Wells report and NFL say they don't have any evidence they cheated, they just assumed. There's more proof this was a which hunt than anything.

"In sum, the data did not provide a basis for us to determine with absolute certainty whether there was or was not tampering as the analysis of such data is dependent upon assumptions and information that is not certain." ....yea, send me whatever your smoking - honestly.

You are making the same mistake many of the Pats fans around here and around the league are making. You are responding as if the court ruling exonerated Brady. The court case was specifically about the process and the suspension, not Brady's guilt. For the most part, since there was nothing specific in the CBA about tampering with equipment, the defense attacked the leagues notion that it was on par with taking PED's and "legally" they're are unable to make that distinction. They also argued that Brady wasn't informed he would be punished for destroying his phone. I guess they just figured he should have known that. There is more but it all relates to the process not Brady's role.

If the court case was about his guilt then we would most likely have a more definitive answer as they would have called on witnesses to testify. Witnesses that have first hand knowledge and have been conveniently silenced since this first came out.

If the case was about the incident, the evidence against the Patriots is overwhelming. Jastremski's and McNally's texts about "the defalator" and going to espn. The visit to the urinal with the balls. Most importantly the fact that they were both suspended indefinitly. Is that the usual course of action for the Pats? Firing people for doing nothing wrong? Then there was Brady destroying his phone (and yes, despite some Pats fans misinformation, they were unable to retrive the texts on that phone). Brady gave them copies of the records but he chose what to show them. It all points the the balls being intentionally deflated. The only thing in question is who really knew? The other thing, since it's not in the CBA, is what can the NFL legally do about it?

Unfortunately, without the testimony of the equipment personnel or Brady's phone the full truth may never be known but in the court of public opinion, if that matters to you, the balls were deflated and Brady knew it. You think two ball boys are going to mess with Football Jesus's footballs without him knowing? Of course there is also the question of how long has it been going on? It's highly unlikely it is a one off incident but in the court of law highly unlikely gets you sweet eff all.

You can proclaim that the process and suspension was unfair. You can proclaim that all teams cheat. You can't proclaim that Brady is innocent in all of this until the truth comes out and that day may never happen. This court case had nothing to do with that so chill out Pats fans. Enjoy the fact your quarterback is back but dont go peacocking around here like he has been cleared of the accusation.

Oh yeah and NPF, most people outside of Pats fans are refering to them as Shady or Br*dy and Belicheat. I wish you would stop calling out Seahawks fans for being homers and bandwagoners for enjoying their current success. Most people cheer for the team that is closest in proximity. Each year the media puts out a map that shows which team most fans in the area are cheering for. Cheering for a team on the other side of the continent and calling out others for being bandwagoners seems very hypocritical to me. I realize you have ties to that area but you can bet the majority of Pats fans here do not. Ease up buddy.

That's it im out on this one. Lets play some football.

  4. Didn't the Patriots fire the guy who admitted to taking the balls into a separate room to let the air out? Why are they still arguing that it didn't happen? Are we supposed to believe that this guy did it on his own volition without the consent of the guy throwing them? Not bloody likely. Tom knew and more likely than not ordered it directly. His only hope now is a high priced team of lawyers coaching him on what to say and what evidence to destroy. He may still get off but in the court of public opinion, at least the one outside of New England, he's guilty.

  5. Don't like Brady but OJ? The hell is wrong with you

Better check your tone fella. Do you think I am comparing what he did to murder? Give your head a shake. Tell me another legal case where everybody knew someone was guilty, all of the evidence pointed to guilt, but they still got off?

  6. Mak is the most butthurt person I've seen in all of this. Since you seem to forget every time, I'll remind you: remember the "deflator" texts, yeah, well they had chat history of text incoming and outgoing in that cell / they had Brady's history texting in those convos. NFL found nothing in em. They're using the phone as an imaginary reason because clearly if something was there they would've saw in those texts.

Oh, and this guy seems to forget Pats and Brady are targeted by everyone atm. No proof of anything and are allegedly saying they did something. Funny cause guys like Manning, ARod all have publicly said they have messed with air pressure but nothing to see here. Oh, and that QB who paid off a ball buy to set the air pressure during the SB. But go on being all butthurt...let it go man, Brady beat the Hawks in the SB, it's okay..

Common man really? Aside from Pats fans I think everyone thinks he is guilty. We already know that someone deflated the footballs in the Pats organization. Do you really think Brady would know nothing about that? The "deflator" texts and now they find out he destroyed his phone the day of the investigation. I'm sorry, you can defend the length of the suspension all you want but he knew. His multi million dollar legal team may get him off now but he is guilty, just like OJ.

  7. As a Bills fan it's hard to feel bad for the pats or Brady, but RR is right: Goodell is an idiot. The "crime" didn't deserve 4 games in the first place. Reducing it to 2 would have made everyone happy, but King Roger's ego won't allow for it.

According to Rapaport the NFL and NFLPA tried to work out a settlement but Brady wouldn't accept any offer that included him missing any games.

  8. Banned after 16 posts and in less than 24 hours after signing up. That was quick.

My guess is a former banned person tried to return. Maybe just a new person on a suspension. What are the chances he went full on retarded that fast....

Pats fan that can't control his emotions. 10:1 odds it's magician.

  9. Also your punter with one of the dirtiest plays I've ever seen last night. And he was celebrating after that horse caller and still celebrating after seeing Jackson hurt. Should have been an ejection in my opinion.

As dirty as Jacksons season ending knee tackle on Morrah the previous game? I seem to recall some show boating after that one too. Your bias is showing. No big deal though, we all do it.

  10. I think a lot of that had to do with how epically the riders failed on third and short to seal the game in regulation. Given that, hoping your D can step up is the logical call.

It was even shorter and the success rate of first downs under 1 yard in the CFL is what, 98.5%? With the ball starting on the 35yard line the Lions are already in field goal position so they were essentially playing for a tie barring a turnover. Terrible odds imo.

  11. No way McCallum makes that 55 yarder to put it in overtime. Loved the guy when he played here but he was way past his prime. Leone's got a cannon.

Crap low tackle by Jackson on Morrah. Don't know if we'll see him again this season. I remember when he was a tight end for the Seahawks his tenure ended early due to injury. Hopefully he recovers quick.

I don't know who decided not to go for it on the 3rd and short for the Rough Riders in OT but thanks anyway. Seemed like a Jacques Chapdelaine thing to do.

Great win by the Lions to overcome all those calls extending drives for Rough Riders late in the game. Shades of the last 2 seasons that have soured the CFL for me a little of late. The Lions seemed to be on the short end of calls in a lot of games in that time span. They did let a couple of things go in the Lions favor in this one but I think the Riders got the bulk of the calls. Should have been a horse collar tackle on Gore on the winning drive. Glad they got the win anyway.

  12. The 3 downs, larger field, extra player... All work to the CFL's advantage. I prefer 4 down ball but if the CFL went that route they would be getting true NFL scraps.

Right now they actually get some fantastic, athletic talent that is just a bit too small to play NFL. The proof is in the pudding - several NFL calibre players have a tough time with the transition and simply aren't ready for the speed and level of the CFL game. The result is the CFL is not a step down from NFL practice squad guys in terms of product. It's almost a different sport.

I'd also wager almost every import player in the CFL was a star at a major U.S. college.

I could do without the first week bye though.

  13. I don't even know who you are (other than I remember me calling you out a couple of times so I guess it makes sense)

I've been relatively good since my last ban and talk with modz

I agree with most that a suspension for Tom was warranted (even though there's no hard facts)

    Come again Mr. Salt

Sure thing, why don't you follow up your post with one of your witty deez nuts comments or one of the other countless classy retorts? I'm not going to get in a pissing match with you, it's not worth my time. Just quit while you are ahead or it's only a matter of time before your next vacation.

  14. Please Makaveli I never thought you could be the saltiest/most butt hurt person in here (it's like you've gone full 12 year old mode)

It's ok, there's always next year

The irony in this post is incredible. Seriously, you make it impossible to have a decent conversation on here anymore. I get you are defending your team but grow up a little.

  15. I think the Cowboys would trade their 1st round pick for a difference maker in the secondary.

They seem like they want to go all in with the best offensive line in the NFL, a top 3 NFL receiver with a great #2, and productive players in the trenches on defense. They're just missing that shut down one half of the field defensive back.

I think it's smart. Seattle had a weak draft, and Green Bay's division got a lot tougher than Dallas's division, and Green Bay has the tougher schedule - the Cowboys could be in play for the #1 seed possibly. I don't think this is Philly's year, just because there were a lot of personell changes, when you're top 3 QBs are Sanchez, Bradford and Tebow it's probably not a good sign.

Seattle had a weak draft? Perhaps you missed who they picked in the first round?

BTW, congrats on the SB win. I've been on a bit of a hiatus for the last couple of months so I never got the chance to say it.

  16. Some key FA's the Hawks have after the SB: Maxwell, Wagner, Wilson, Lynch. Who stays and who goes? I think they'll only be able to retain half of those guys.

The only FA there is Maxwell. Or do you mean next years super bowl?

  17. 24 hours until I leave for Phoenix. Won't lie here I am pretty darn excited. Borrowing a Seahawks jersey from a friend. I just own a Burleson one. Thinking I'm gonna rock the Joey Galloway one.

Those look like kids jerseys next to the Burleson one. What's up with that?

Galloway played for both teams so maybe it's an apt choice. Although he held out for half a season before he was traded so he might not be a fond memory amongst Hawks fans. They did draft Alexander with the first rounder they got so I guess all may be forgiven. I'd rock the Lynch or the Burleson jerseys myself but you really can't lose, except for the Flynn one, that's a loser.

Super jelly man, that is the trip of a lifetime.

  18. Didn't realize LaFell was only 45 yards away from being a 1000 yard receiver this season.

In his first 3 games, only averaged 1 catch for 15 yards. Last 13 games 5.5 catches for 70 yards.

Consistently, he could've had a 1150 yard season. Add in that Seattle was ranked 20th for sacks, and New England allowed the 4th fewest sacks, count LaFell as my x factor while working on Maxwell/Simon.

They were also 1st in passing defense so it's not just the sacks that matter. They often only rush 4 but still manage to get the QB moving so they have to throw on the move or off balance. That is the key to their entire defense. The Pats ability to maintain the pocket will be the x factor imo. BB always manages to find a steller O line no matter what he is dealt so it will be no easy task for the Hawks D.

  19. If I was a player voted to the Pro Bowl I would say, "Thanks, but no thanks". Even during a game at half speed, you can get injured. I wouldn't risk all of my future paychecks for a free trip to Hawaii.

The Pro Bowl is in Phoenix this year so they don't even get that.

  20. Quit making yourself look silly.

1.) Definite yes. Brady already has more conference championship & SB appearances than Joe (arguably the goat considering BOTH stats & playoff success). Could've very well had 5 SB's but blew em to some clutch play by the Giants. If he wins this, he'll be 4-2 in SB's, has most postseason TD's, wins, etc. This will put Tom on Joe's level (ironically his childhood hero) and beyond it no doubt, and the thought that he has a few more years left in him is just crazy.

2.) 50/50, depends on Russ. If he wins he'll be a 2x SB winner yea, but he hasn't been a great QB or anything. Look at Eli for ex, he's won 2 but is no where near HOF material. Though Russ isn't the same as Eli obviously, he hasn't carried his team like the best ever have. Large part of his success is due to that defense thag makes it so easy for him to do what he does but no doubt Russ is a huge part of the teams success. Plus he's really young so if he wins, 4-5 more solid seasons at the least and he'll be in. If he wins and somehow fades away declining for whatever reason, than no he's not HOF material and will be known as the guy that rode his defense to success and wasn't the sole player taking control of the ship.

While I agree that Wilson's hasn't had nearly long enough of a career to consider him for the hall of fame, to say he hasn't had to carry his team like some of the all time greats is a statement that is as often used as it is inaccurate. Take Brady for example, if you compare stats over their first 3 years you will see they are very comparable and Wilson tops Tom in a number of categories.

What all SB winning QB's have in common is they have all had great teams to help them get there but this fact is often unfairly used to detract from Wilson's successes while many others get a free pass. It's too early to tell exactly what his legacy will be but if you look at the history of a lot of the "all time greats" you will see that he is right on track to become one of them.

  21. I'll leave this here, Wilson was 15th in rushing yards this year. Thank you, good night. PS: he is clutch, absolutely CLUTCH.

He was tied for 16th but your point is still moot. He also did this with only 118 attempts so there's that too.
