Canucks gave them the A-OK to do so.
of course they did, what can they do? say no? wtf is this , &^@# you Shannahan.

could be bs too now that I think about it..... the best I do is Jake for Jake one for one, Debrusk is better offensively but does not really come close to the physical game Jake brings. They also had the exact same amount of points, Virtanen doing it as a 3rd liner, Debrusk had a 27 goal season last year, Debrusk is more suited for a 2nd line winger role, Virtanen for his physical game.

you know what, I am all for people to get promotions or better positions but &^@# the Maple Leafs &^@# Dubas for going after one of our staff who has one year left in his work contract. &^@# you losers!

Scrappy boston Winger, Jake Debrusk might be available as it seems like Boston is not willing to make an offer to the young rfa. Last season he scored 27 goals in 2019 in his second NHL year this recent one he scored 19, numbers are similar to Jakes Virtanens. I wouldn't mind a straight up trade jake for jake if so. He can actually fit in a top 6 role.

Judd Bracket departing is not a surprise. Minnesota is literally the closes NHL team to his home town.
As for Malhotra, it's sad, but we will have to move on. Nothing we can do. At Least I think Toronto should have compensated us a pick for going after a staff of ours that is under contract.

I don't know why Benning didn't resign Schenn last year - he melded well with Hughes in the last 5 games of the season. Now he partners Hedman on Tampas 1st D pairing. Go figure
Yup. We wanted him to come back, but he chose the team best shot at winning lord Stanley even settled for a 2 way contract with tampa at the bare minimum instead of a one way with us. and more money. Props to him I think he wants to win a cup after seeing his bro do it.

he's not 6'4.... not a chance... he looks 6'0 or 6'1, not even close.

makes sense for Sabre. taking a chapter out of the Canucks play book by adding vets around their young guys.
The Sabres idea, similar to the Oilers and leafs of thinking their young guys can just score the lites out and into the playoffs will never work. Leadership and veterans need to surround the younger guys.

What's shocking with that? Here people say he played good when teamed with Edler. When he and Pouliot were together it wasn 't so good.
Look at Myers, it's the same there. Put Myers with Pouliot and $&!# happens... Myers cost 6 million.
what the &^@# does Myers have to do with Gudbranson for crying out loud.

Not sure Dumba is what we need. We need a more physical, stay at home type in the top four imho.
I wouldn't mind Dumba in our top 4, however, his 6 million per year is way too high for a guy who was on pace for 29 points while getting good minutes and quality power play time. a huge pass for me unless they are willing to do Myers straight up and we throw in a sweetner but that is all.

sometimes I wonder what it will be like if Tryamkin was available to Green during the playoffs.

e's performed better there than he has in Pittsburgh or Vancouver and they got him for nothing.
LOL sure thing.
wow he was 0 plus minus this season shocking.

don't blame the guy? more I like don't blame the Ducks. even a bad team doesn't want him it speaks for itself how bad Gudbranson has become over the past 3 years.

what does travis green make? 1/6 of that? insane how much these coaches get paid. It might explain why Calgary cheaped out on their coach.
-
I hope Lind can be a 2nd line winger for years to come similar to a Riley Smith.
-
they pissed cause they wanted someone like Gallant or even Laviolette.

Boston already loaned 2015 bust first rounder Jakub Zboril to the Czech leauge. at this point I am happy with any leauge our guys end up with. keep in mind other athletes are trying to also make a living too in whatever leauge's, even if Kole Lind ends up in Austria or something I am fine with that or if Lockwood ends up in a tier 2 German Leauge ice time is better then no time.

Jim Benning actually scored 6th best in GM of the year of the year award with 3 first place and 3 3rd place votes. He is getting recognition among his peers. Hope he continues building our team.

lol.
I remember Mike Gillis targeting either Bjustad or Gudbranson for Luongo. it's kinda hilarous how both these guys really turned into nothing. The outcome was we settling for none of them, as Dale Tallon and Gillis was only able to agree on Jacob Markstrom and how he held the lowest value out of all the guys Mike Gillis was targeting turns out 7 years later Markstrom is by far the best player out of the 3. Gillis the genius.

Juolevi can be his partner. Myers can lead him on the ice. Will make a good first partner for him.
