Benning was the only GM out of 31 that offered him a contract by several reports. That is why the # was so low.

If you think this was a good signing ....remind me never to hire you to run my business.

If your business is on Main and Hastings i'm not interested.

Leafs are going to have nightmares of Jenner and Foligno under their beds.

Couldn't handle the heaviness of Columbus.  Couldn't handle Dubois either (and were fortunate Josh Anderson was not in the lineup).

35 million dollar line combined for a -3 in the series.

    Jenner, Foligno, Nyqvist were +6.

When your lottery superstars' can't outplay the opponent's matchup line 5 on 5 - all playing together on an overloaded one-liner = you're usually done.

they could have easily lost game 4 too when they where down 3-0. Luckily for them Werenski was out for the game, and Columbus had to play one dman down and they still the Jackets nearly won the game in regulation.  Joke of a team has no business being in the playoffs.  Hope they don't win the 1st pick though.

Besides Burkes conflict of interest in that matter,  was that the NHL hockey operations was another former Canuck in Colin Cambell, who's son just happened to be playing on the Bruins, What are the odds off those 3 situations being tied to a fractional late hit from Rome, on a already injured Canucks team (watch the Raymond hit, you can see he tried to hurt him and nothing done on that either by the NHL)

Brian Burke had a blueprint for player suspensions, and the NHL continued to use his blue print well into 2011.  Larry Murphy decided to give him 4 games, because the old way was "Cambell's" style and Murphy had his.  What an asshole.

Brian Burke went on air earlier this season and mentioned about how Murphy with a clear guideline still went against it.  Brian Burke very much said it was very hard to see the twins not win the cup.  This is on record so Burke was actually polling for the Canucks in 2011.

They look like brothers. Or is it just me?

5th overall pick 2017 and 5th overall pick 2016.  I really hope Juolevi at least can turn into a useful player for us.

  6. It was Jim Benning who implemented a new drafting system for our scouts and instructed them in what too look for.  If anything Judd Bracket although is a product of Jim Benning.  That said it really sucks to lose him but maybe he wanted a change?

If Judd Brackett is one of the best in the business, why didn't 29 other NHL teams fire their directors of amateur scouting and hire Judd?

because it's not a good timing to hire a new amateur scout right now, with Amateur leauges in limbo for next season.  In other words there might not even be any scouting going on for the time being.  I think in the mean time until we know for certain what will happen in the CHL and amateur leagues we won't be in a hurry to replace Judd.
