Don't know why you are complaining about the wide receivers since traditionaly the Patriots like to run 2 tight end sets instead of 3 wide. Belichick won't invest in getting good receivers because he thinks his system can make up for the lack of talent. He has that smugness that he can make up for mediocre talent just with his system. Same with the defence for years he neglected because he thought the offence would outscore their problems until he finally realized to address the issue the past 2 years by adding Adrian Wilson and Talib.

The fact Chung can't cover deep was blatantly obvious when he totally mistimed his jump and let a defender get behind him as the last line of defense in the red zone. I would love if the Eagles could somehow trade a 3rd round pick for Jairus Byrd. He is beefing with Buffalo about not getting a long term deal. He is on the franchise tag right now. Though that is probably a long shot considering they would have traded him now if a 3rd round pick was enough. They probably want at least a second rounder. Or they could just draft a guy like this who is not afraid to lay the wood. If the Honey Badger can play FS in the NFL Lamarcus Joyner can too. Two Oregon safeties with Byrd and Chung would be pretty solid. An Eagles defence that is actually scary? Haven't had that since Dawkins left. Hopefully in the near future that will change.

Congratulations to Coach Kelly on his first of many wins in the NFL. This is just phase 1 in building the Eagles into an eventual perennial powerhouse like the 49ers and Seahawks in a couple of years. Once the defence catches up to the offence. After a major overhaul at the end of the season. It's clear there are enough playmakers on offence if everyone is healthy maybe replace Maclin if he can't come back. Then load up in free agency and the draft on defence. This really is a rebuilding year and building the foundation attitude and personality of this team to an aggressive and attacking offence and defence. The safeties are still terrible. Chung is probably better of as in the box safety than a free safety though and looked better than Coleman or Allen who they had last year. Hope they give Earl Wolff a chance to start at strong safety. He is a more physical and sure tackler. Short term goal is to just get in the playoffs though. The d was surprisingly not half bad. The offence was expected to carry this team but they gotta play a full 60 minutes and learn not to take their foot off the other teams' throat to be a truly great team. But with this offence and the parity in the NFC East they will have a shot at the playoffs as long as the defense can be just average.

Freaking 7 tds what a fantasy night. Riley Cooper is pissing me off. Don't know why you keep a receiver that people on the same team hate. Not to mention everyone will be targeting just a distraction. Is the depth really that bad you can't find another guy. Coach Kelly is only keeping Cooper around because he is a good blocker for a receiver and a red zone threat because of his height. The d looks like it is pretty terrible. Oh well will be interesting to see can offence make up for the defense.

That's part of the charm of the CFL if you ask me. The crazy rules like the rouge and comebacks with no lead being safe and zany plays. Missed tackles and assignments that result in big plays out of nowhere sometimes. I think that is what makes it exciting never really knowing how the game is gonna turn out as it goes down to the wire. In the NFL you have a 20 point lead and it is lights out 90 percent of the time. In the CFL no lead is really safe. For summer entertainment it is still decent if you are craving football and it will help hold you over till the NFL season starts.

I'm pumped for the NFL can't wait!!! The summer dead zone for sports is too much. CFL wets your appetite for the big boys. Only 2 more days.

Will have to watch that. I might switch up my defence and TE weekly. Or just play the d playing the Raiders that week. .

Just shows how deep qb is. All the fantasy drafts I've done the king position is really RB's there is no depth after the top 10-15 bonifide guys there are question marks. Also wondering do you think it is better to have 2 defenses/ST and TE's or just load up on rbs and wrs as much as possible and get one guy only for qb,d,k,and TE on the waiver wire when you need to plug them in.

Terelle Pryor as a backup qb late round is a sleeper. He can run and throws better than Tebow. Oakland will rely on him a lot because all they have is McFadden and no real legit guys at wr.

Speaking of NFL pools I hear you guys have one on Yahoo going. I'm already in a couple of NFL.com pools so if anyone likes that I wouldn't mind either joining a league if someone started it or starting it up myself.

That is where it is freaking at!!! Can't wait till Chip Kelly unleashes his total offence with Vick,Desean, and Mccoy. They are gonna have huge years. The division will be very competitive this year. All signs are the offence will be good, if the defence can be just average it will be an improvement over last year not to mention special teams has to provide field position. But in all likelihood the offence will probably outscore the d's problems. Hopefully the Eagles can bank some wins early and jump on teams right away to put them in a hole before they can figure out what they are doing on offence. I'm expecting better than a 8-8 season with the offence alone.

Freaking Riley Cooper. Maclin is out for the season. Eagles when did you become the Jets? It's a freaking circus!!! I don't think Eagles make the playoffs this year though they might some wins early by surprising some teams with their new offence.

BC d was brutal. No d-line pressure. No return game. Offence yet again can't finish drives and score in the red zone when it matters. Penalties galore. Injuries are no excuse only Arceneaux was missing. Pretty much an all round gong show with the exception of Harris who had a strong game on the ground and Nick Moore had a couple big plays receiving but neither got in the end zone. Gore looks like he is being eased back in after his concussion. I expected him to have a 1000 yard season this year with Simon and Bruce gone but it looks like the top 2 receivers now are Arceneaux and Moore with Courtney Taylor at #3 leaving Gore all the way down at #4. Also Akeem Foster is behind Iannuzzi on the depth chart. He showed promise a couple years ago now he can't even get on the field. Keron Williams needs to be moved back to his natural DE position. He is not fit to be a DT. The front four with everyone healthy should be Julius Williams,Taylor, Westerman,Keron Williams That way they can start Lin J shell at safety instead of JR Larose who is not communicating well with Josh Bell and the rest of the secondary.
