Great win. Leaky at times and towards the end, but I'm confident going forwards that our passive dzone structure will improve. IMO I thought Petey looked better. I only noticed him fall once, and that was from the hit by Stanley. Also, he did well carrying the puck in as opposed to dumping it in. Hopefully Brock gets things going. He was close to getting a breakaway - and if he scores there it's a different game for him. He'll pot one and get his confidence back. Even though I didn't love his game, it will be nice when Hamonic can travel with the club. Some negatives (Hughes, Brock, collapsing at times) - but more positives (OEL, Garland, Burroughs, Demko, discipline).. and that's the difference. Loved Burroughs' game today. Takes the body whenever possible, and you love to see him get his first off Schmidt. Onto the next one!

I'd take OEL @ 7+ rather than Schmidt @ 6. OEL is a consummate professional. As a fan I can see his leadership on and off the ice. He's also more what the Canucks need than Schmidt. Schmidt wasn't a good fit here. I don't blame him for both parties wanting to move on. Not a huge deal. Happens all the time.

Agreed. When we're losing, of course look at options (firing green, trades, etc). However, never cheer to lose. I will NEVER do that to my team.

Burroughs has been solid. I like how he atleast isn't afraid to take the body - and can actually cause disruption to the opposing player when he does so.
