  1. Fire the coach. If the players still don't perform.. full tire fire. No one is untouchable, including Pettersson, Hughes, Demko.
  2. Four years ago if you told me Nic Dowd would go on to have an above average NHL career.... I dunno man.
  3. This guy doesn't know where the line is, and quite frankly shouldn't be on TV or radio.
  4. It's honestly embarassing how Baumer & King have jobs with our organization. They were barely NHL players, yet somehow our franchise decides to lend out a helping hand to these two plugs. Like seriously, how were there no better options? 200 career NHL games between the two of them. That would be like if we hired Brad Hunt & Jayson Megna to be assistant coaches in 10 years. Just not qualified.
  5. Such a beauty. Honestly, I wouldn't be able to take Travis seriously. His fitness level & demeanor just don't give me THAT! Brind'amour is proving to be a hell of a coach.
  6. I don't know what to say at this point. There is so much noise around this team. I definitely don't think trading away J.T would be wise. As others have mentioned, the rest of the team needs to pony up around him. He brings a fire that we so desperately need. This team identity/culture as pushovers has lingered way too long, and in case some of you forgot... it's partially the reason why we lost in 2011 against the Big Bad Bruins. He is trying to lead, and yes is probably coming off as abrasive in the room, but this is hockey. Suck it up young-ins and rally around him. I've always thought Bo was too soft to be a captain, but we are where we are. I wish he would stick up for his teammates more often. He always turns a blind eye when a teammate gets wronged. In terms of coach Green... I am still undecided. Some days I am pro firing, and some days I am pro keeping. Colorado was a gong show, but last night the group seemed to play good hockey. Right now is truly the breaking point. Can he rally this team or do we continue to flounder? Go Canucks.

  8. Marc Crawford. This team needs a run and gun offence where the players have liberty to use their individual talent over a dump & chase system.
  9. Fire the f***ing coach already!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This is so infuriating. Same sh*t, different day. GET IT DONE!!
  10. #*@& man, Flames look so good. There is no way the Canucks face any sort of chance against this team.
  11. Players have changed and the team still stinks, playing boring & unmotivated hockey. Last night there were glimmers of hope, however, I believe that's only because our team has skills to shine through at times. The home opener was a huge eye opener that despite being in front of fans for the first time in 500+ days, we played like game 82 of the regular season where we weren't making the playoffs. This group is UNMOTIVATED. We need a new MOTIVATOR. It's not rocket science. Green's leash has been long enough. Management needs to accept the glaring holes in our system that were evident even before the bubble - and stop trying to force it with Green. We still rely on goaltending and special teams way too much to ever be a cup conterder, and that comes back to the system. The same, boring, passive, weak system that Green has deployed since he was hired.

    Edit

Thanks for sharing @Odd.. I am very familiar with Gimli, MB as my dad grew up there and would take me there every summer to spend time with my grandparents and his side of the family. Beautiful place. Interestingly I've read that 1% of the population are considered "psychopaths". Do you ever do someone wrong and completely disregard their hurt afterwards? What's your thinking process if you do wrong someone and you see that they are hurt? I'm just curious now that you've opened the discussion. I think you had a good team to help you and explain why you are the way you are, and for that you should be very thankful!
  13. Just the NHL covering their arses. The game moves so quick, Segachev's last thought would be to try nudging him on his side. I hope Marner is fine, it looked like it hurt. However, it's kind of a shame this is considered a violation these days. Hockey is changing for sure. I'm not saying this is a bad thing either. It's just different now.
  14. I'm sure some of the players feel the same way. A co-worker of mine who used to play in the OHL said the same thing to me today. I love hockey and will never hate it, but I can see how it becomes a chore when the circumstances are working against you. Aka Travis Green.
  15. I have a glimmer of hope. He did fire Torts after only a year and Torts signed a 5 year deal.
  16. We need a f*ckin change and it doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure that out. Pony up Aqua.
  17. In my pool I have Petey, Bo, Hughes, Myers, Garland, Boeser, Hoglander Yet somehow I'm still winning this week.
  18. Agreed @DeNiro Just have to say I always appreciate your take on things. A new voice can be huge. Even with our current roster a new voice would be huge and players would buy back in. I really think Benning has built a great team on paper, and I might get flack for this but I'd like to see him stay and Green go. Yes, it was Bennings call to re-sign Green, but I just can't get over how good our roster is on paper and how we seem to be underperforming so greatly.
