  1. I remembered Boudreau first hired as the Caps coach he turned things around very quick and the Caps was one of the hottest team in the later half of that season. I have hope again!
  2. So, are we going back to the “let’s-see-how-these-homestands-go” mode?
  3. I think cleaning house means the coach can’t stay as well.
  4. To BOS: JT Miller + multiple draft picks To Van: DeBrusk Jim, I know you would do it to save your job.
  5. They fired the GM and the coach whose team went to the Cup Final last year. And the Canucks still has their GM and coach who brought the team to no where except the basement of the standing in the last 8 years.
  6. It’s getting to a point that I feel bad for Green. I mean how could you do your job knowing that you are on the hot seat, but the owner just refuses to fire you?
  7. With all the lineup changes, Green is still reluctant to break up Horvat and Pearson.
  8. Don’t give me this is a moral victory, this kind of lost needs to cost someone’s job!
  9. EP: why haven’t you fired anyone yet? FA: Listen, I want to see how the fans react in these home games before making any decisions. EP: I see. Ok then, don’t blame me for my half-ass effort for the money you give me in the next 3 years.
  10. Just watched HNIC talking about the Flames, Juice said how a big tough d-men like Gudbranson plays so well for the Flames so I took a look at his stats: in 18 games 4 points and +3. Honestly I am not sure he ever got a plus while playing for the Canucks, but I believed this is another scenario where the Canucks coaching staffs did not understand the strength of a player and force them to play in a style that never suits them.
  11. At this point I don’t know what is good for the Canucks to win games now. It just gives Aquilini an illusion that Benning and Green are getting the job done. The long term fix on this mess is to get rid of both ASAP.
  12. I am sorry man, but it is all on him. He is the manager, he is supposed to have a clear plan/direction that the team needs to follow. Clearly he never has that plan and that is why the Canucks suck year after year.
  13. If you don’t look at the score you would think the Avs were down by 1 and desperately needed a tying goal.
  14. I have never play hockey in my life but I know when the other player has the puck I would do my best to pressure the guy trying to steal the puck back. Not standing 2 feet away waiting for the guy to shoot.
  15. What is wrong with an aggressive penalty kill? On the Makar goal why not go up and pressure him instead of passively waiting for him to shoot? Again with the net empty could gain the zone. Even when they are in the zone they are just running around and pass it back for the point shot, which is then blocked by the opponent. Oh well, at least Aquilini still thinks Benning is the right GM to fix it and Green is the right coach to have a game plan to turn things around.
  16. Seriously I am not sold on Rathbone, especially under the guidance of Nolan Baumgartner.
  17. It is really hard to tell when he traded away draft picks every year to speed up the rebuilding. Other than the 6 players you name, which players do you think are ready to play in the big league, especially in the defense?
  18. I really want to work for the Aquilini. I can be really miserable doing my job for 7 straight years but he will not fire me, instead also gives me a vote of confidence. Other than working for the government, I do not think of any other jobs that would provide this kind of "job security"!
  19. I really hope so. Aqualini needs to admit that the last 7 years were a waste and to stop the bleeding there needs to be a proper rebuild, It doesn't matter if it means by firing the coach, GM, trading player for some draft picks, or all of the above.
