    Pettersson still had 22 points in 26 games, almost a point per game, so I think it is pretty good evidence that he is worth playing for the Canucks.

    When your star player said he wants to be with a winning team, and we still have a GM whose team only qualified for the Playoffs twice in his 7-year tenure, and a coach whose strategy is not to lose...I am not surprised if Patty (or Hughes) sign a bridge deal and see how things develop in the next few years.

    Avs are the strange team. Every year they look so promising in the first round but then become a different team in the second round. I sure hope this is their year too because they are fun to watch.
