  1. Sorry I think San Diego needs his help a bit more lol. Same with Browner he'd be an interesting free agent providing he can put the scrips down..ugh March 11 can't come soon enough!
  2. Thats fair, I was just curious. Defense does win championships, I just prefer good offense myself, think its a bit more fun to watch, and it is certainly possible to win a Superbowl with a good offense and mediocre defense. Also I don't think the Pats defense is pretty good, I would satisfied if I was a fan anyways. It should be interesting to see how Seattle moves forward, they certainly have a lot of free agents and a lot of guys who are due for a huge raise
  3. Its entirely possible BB does do that, I mean that certainly how they won those 3 Superbowls in the 2000s. But as a Pats fan are you not just begging for a good wideout(like a true deep threat that can make some plays along the sidelines) after so many years of just missing that one piece
  4. Hahaha wow...I usually used Jim Zorm as the bandwagon test but Alexander wow congrats to Seattle and their real fans, they deserved it
  5. We could use a number 2 receiver, someone to line up opposite of Allen. Brown was in that spot last year, and he just didn't have the year many thought he would; and was kind of invisible towards the end. I haven't given up on him yet, it was his first full season and was coming off of injury so we will see but its one spot we could use an upgrade. Ya I think they will bring back DX, he's had a lot of knee injuries though. He is a really good receiver, but after that many injuries its hard to trust we will get much more than 6 games from him. But he's definitely worth that gamble. Malcom Flyod might be done. He is getting up there in age, and from the reports I've read he's still in a lot of pain still today. Which is too bad, I always liked him but that hit may have ended his career.. Royal is a good slot guy, though I am unsure what is going to happen there. A lot of people think he might get cut just because of his contract if they can draft a quick wr, which Tom Telesco has said he wants to draft some more speed. Its suppose to be a deep class for receivers this year too, so we will see how that plays a role in everything as well. But ya besides that your right our first priority is going to be defense. Mainly we need help at cb, ss and desparetly need a good nose tackle
  6. Ya my bet is on Carolina signing Nicks, he is from there it seems like that would make sense. Then I'm not sure what Carolina will do with Brandon LaFell, and I am somewhat interested in that, because I just have a hunch if he was put into the right situation he could be steal of free agency and be a very solid number 2. I'd say I hope San Diego lands him, but I think he think we will gamble with Danario Alexander again
  7. oh wth, didn't post the pic..I got Ygritte..I have read all 5 books, you guys got any predictions on what might happen? I don't know how Arya fits into the picture of things. I really like her, but I'm not sure how her story ties in, or how Martin will tie it in
  8. I agree with pretty much everything you said and it wouldn't surprise if that Pats did do that. But I just don't get why go for Sanders. I mean to me he's a slot receiver, he makes most of his plays in the middle of the feild. They have that in Edlemen already, they love their TEs. So how many inside playmakers do you need when the only outside threats really is Dobson and Thompkins. Again I wouldn't be surprised if what you said comes true, but to me it doesn't make sense, and would seem the money would be better spent on someone big and can stretch the feild out both width-wise and length-wise. Like a Decker, Jones, Britt etc. I'd leave Syndey Rice of that list but just because I think his body has been through too much, he's just not the same.
  9. So I saw Shefter tweet you guys hired someone as a 'Passing Game Coordinator'. I've never heard of that job before, how is that suppose to work, you have two OCs? Or has Jerry just lost it?
  10. I think they will, or I think Decker will want out or atleast test the open market. I know he had a good season, but he burried there and Peyton won't keep continuing to put up numbers like that, so I'd expect he wants to explore other options where he might play a much larger role in the offense. Couple other wr's that I think Pats should look at would be James Jones, if GB lets him go. Or Brandon LaFell, that one is obv a bit more riskier, but for some reason that just seems like that could be a good fit to me
  11. I would not want Heyward-Bay if I was you, he's been around the league long enough to prove he has the catching ability of one handed blind guy. He was an Al Davis pick enough said. Honestly I'd be quite alright if the Pats acquired no one, and had a horrible season, but I think the Pats should be pursing Decker hard this off-season. A good tall physical outside receiver who can stretch the feild is what I think you really need. I think Nicks is going to Carolina and I don't think you want Riley Cooper as your #1 outside threat.
  12. last time I looked it up they were saying Winds of Winter wasn't coming till early 2015 at best though some were speculating it could be released as late as 2017.. Which would suck he left us with way too many cliff hangers to make us wait that long! Martin is such a slow writer, but I think its just his process which make it take so long. I read somewhere before that he doesn't pre-plan his stories in too much detail, so he will sometime write a whole chunk of pages dislike it and start from fresh. Sure hope it comes out soon tho, I can't wait for the new season and book
  13. Yes thats a prime example imo why the extra point should stay. I swear it happened this year too, where one team would've had a 1 point lead but missed. I forget how it ended or which teams played but remember seeing it and thinking wow sure will change that teams stradegy for the final few minutes. Anyways thats why I'm in favor of keeping the game how it is, if they really its too easy why not just make them kick from the 45 instead.
  14. Nah your're reading correctly, and got the rugby rule correct as well. Americans just don't like kickers apparently. There is always speaking against removing it from the game. I think Goodells idea is kind of dumb, I know extra points were almost guaranteed thing(I think 6 or 8 were missed all year) but sometimes games can be decided on that, and if it did effect atleast 1 game this year in a significant way(which I think it did, can't recall which game) then to me thats enough reason to keep kicking them.
  15. May be a bit of both. I like Whiz, I love what he did for us last year and wish he could've stayed though I like what Frank Reich was saying too. Leinart may have a point however, at the least its something a fan might want to keep an eye on I think. Whiz has been a pretty coach when he has a QB, Warner, Rivers and Rothlesburger(sp?) are the proof. Those years other years in Arizona though, they really struggled to even get mediocre play from their QBs. So I think it depends on Locker, I like him so I think Whiz and Tennesse will be ok but I get why some people might be concerned. Should be some good games this Sunday, I don't particularly like any of teams left, can't even say I'm a fan any of the players left playing, maybe Wilson.. But hey if your team still in it good luck to you, hopefully we have really entertainig games this weekend
  16. Congats on that, I was sure hoping that Wisenhunt might decide to stay. He certainly helped our transformation this year, though he can be maddening at times as well. Like not going to the hurry up offense against Denver until the 4th, then proceed to move the ball at will ugghh. I'm just glad you guys weren't able steal Pags from us as well
  17. The Panthers also started out 1-3, and didn't really hit their stride untill about week 5. Or that atleast when Cam started picking up his game. I agree with you though the NFC South should be an interesting race especially if New Orleans lose on Monday. Honestly I haven't really heard too many people picking New Orleans to win at Seattle, most of the supposive experts I've seen have picked Seattle. I think though alot closer game. Ya New Orleans doesn't really travel well, and Seattle technically hasn't lost at home in the past couple seasons(though we all know they did to GB). But if you look past that, Seattle does have some question marks now, especially at the opposite side of Sherman. Brees is one of the best, so if anyone could exploit that it would be New Orleans. I just think it will be close and wouldn't be surprised if the Saints do win Also if you take a look at the weather, right now Mondays forcasted for snow! That would be a crazy lil twist if that happens
  18. I think it has something to do with the tv rights. Because both KC vs Denver were orginally scheduled to be aired on CBS, I think CBS was allowed to protect 1 of the games from getting flexed to NBC. I'm not entirely sure on how that all works but heard that somewhere, but kind of makes sense CBS wouldn't want to give up both games..
  19. Wow I hate that call, Bell was in for the td ko'd himself doing it but since his helmet popped off inches before the line you take it away from him. I know thats the rules but c'mon seems like you could just give him that one. But that was a good game, was hopimg the steelers would take it but oh well
  20. I guess Flynn just proved why he was cut by 3 other teams. Did anyone see what happened to Johnson I heard he went down hard, but not sure if he came back or suffered a bad knee/ankle injury
  21. Thats annoying I'm stuck at work so I guess I will just be watching the drive chart on NFL.com
  22. Really what the hell, I'm listening to it online right now all they have is ESPN radio right now, was hoping for play by play. Is it only on over the radio waves?
  23. Does anyone know where I can atleast listen to the games today? Why team 1040 or 1410 is not playing is beyond me, it would be far more entertaining than the usual 3 topics they talk about all day..
  24. Well you somewhat expect a bounce back game from Stafford, besides last weeks game he has been good this year. Also Megatron tends to have monster games aginast Green Bay. Couple that with Flynn being the starter, and Detroits 4th best run defense I would expect Detroit to win as well, though it will I think it will be a close game. I sayDetroit 34Green Bay 31
  25. Whoa easy there buddy, all I was meaning there by calling him a liar, is not telling the media the truth about their game plan, which obviously every coach does. Was not meant in derogatory way at all, rather just my mind not being able to come up with a synonym at the time. In terms of me calling the hawks offense 1-dimentional, well thats my opinion, if you want to discuss it further to change my mind well I'm more than glad to. I just see their passing game without Harvin very unimpressive, their stats backup my oppinion. They're 24th NFL last time I looked in passing yards per game. I like Golden Tate but just not as a number 1 wide receiver, for me he just looks like he lacks that ability to beat press coverage from good corners, and seems to disappear if he has an elite corner on him. Harvin would obv help that by taking most of the attention. So thats why I have been curous to how they will utilize Harvin. I'm well aware of their record, but they haven't exactly had the toughest schedule this year, and middle of the pack teams who I would've thought the Seahawks would destroy have been able to keep it close. I'm far from hating on them, I am just still a bit skeptical at this point, and would gladly discuss this in terms of game plans, schemes etc with anyone that feels otherwise, hey I may be wrong but its just my opinion based off of what I've seen
