  1. So St Louis contacted Brett Farve and asked if he would want to play again. He said no, but sure feels like Farve retired saga is about to continue.. In other old qb news, apparently Jeff Garcia has contacted the browns beleiving he could still start for them. The funny thing is a few people on espn would like to see that. Sure is a bad year to be Jason Campbell
  2. He hurt his ankle apparently. I wouldn't read too much into any player missing a wednesday practice
  3. They clearly are one of the favorites, and that's fair to point that out. I have no problem with that, but when someone claims they have no weaknesses that's a bit much especially from a panelist. As to Carroll his arrogance just annoys me. I don't really care that much about them tho
  4. nevermind I see he has been cleared to play finally Oh well enough about the Pats, they are the only topic that ever seems to be dicussed at any length on here, partly my fault too lol. Does anybody else on here find Pete Carrol to be the most annoying coach in the league? I can't exactly say why but I really dislike him. Though I am also getting a bit tired of everyone, panel members as well, jumping on the Seahawks bandwagon and how they can do no wrong
  5. Ya but if your not cleared by your DR why are you taking any contact in practice? I know its not the same as game time reps though, its just a puzzling situation, even for his teammates from what I hear. The lingering problem is with his forearm isn't it? Sur does seem like a long time for a bone to heal
  6. Am I the only one who thinks Freeman is just crap? Not that Ponder or Cassels are anything worth while either, but I don't see Freeman being an upgrade at all. I know he is suppse to have a big arm, but his accuracy seems awful on those big throws. He may surprise me but I wouldn't be surprised to see him throw for more than 3 ints this weekend
  7. I think there is something else going on with Gronk. I have no proof for this but rather just a hunch. By all accounts he's a beast in practice right now, and is pretty much a full participant. I mean you don't take part in tackling drills if your hurt. I just don't know what to make of all this, a couple weeks back it sounded like the Pats thought he was good to go, only for his dad to pipe up and say he was going rush back in. Then this past week by all accounts it sounded like it was guaranteed to start, only to be held back by the DR this time. I mean if he really wanted to play he would've. We've all seen players do it before. As a Gronk owner in a deep dynasty league I hope he's back this week as well. But its starting to sound pretty strange to me, almost like he's scared to play
  8. I like his quote to ESPN after the game better. "I never knew who Indy was playing, from all those commercials" Its good to see Rivers is playing like a top 5 qb this year again. I've been watching Allen closely for a few weeks now, he is going to be very good by the looks of it. His route running is just so crisp, he gets good separation, and is just deadly with those slants. I'll be picking him up in my fantasy leagues this week.
  9. I'm curious how do you think their game plan will change Foles as the starter rather than Vick? They seemed to be running the read option a bunch and relying a lot on shady with the occasional shot to Desean. With Foles in I have heard they will be utilizing his arm more with more sideline passes, which I would assume would involve your other wideouts more and one would think the TEs as well. But I don't pretend to know much about the Eagles, was wondering what you thought?
  10. No one is calling him elite this year, a couple years ago yes. But then a couple years ago he was playing like an elite quarterback. You would think out of anyone you Pats fans would remember that the most lol. I came across this stat earlier today and found it interesting: Of Eli's interceptions this year, 6 came from targets to Randle, 3 to Nicks, 2 to Cruz, 1 to Myers, 1 to Jacobs and 1 to Wilson. There certainly seems to be a pretty big disconnect there Randle, and from the ones I have seen, though I don't watch the Giants religiously, he seems to be at fault for a few of them. I certainly don't think Eli is as bad as some people make him out to be, still rather have him over a few other starters. Though in saying so I'd still love to see him break the int record lol. Though he's going to have to step it up if he wants that infamous record.
  11. They would have to respect Gordon's speed though no matter who was playing qb, it would be silly not have a safety over top. It may very well be because of the browns were awful last year, that's why I wonder if colts fans may be worried. I've heard a few people call him overrated just honestly don't know enough to judge. Those unimpressive stats just made me raise an eyebrow. On a separate note, respect for Marshall. Wearing those green shoes knowing he would be fined to raise awareness for mental health. Then promising to match the fine and donating it. I respect that glad he's having a good game so far.
  12. I'm not sure I agree with that, I think they are just trying to develop their power run game and such a thing takes time. I assume they are running a power blocking scheme rather than a zone blocking scheme. Which if you do it puts emphasis on the talent of your O-line, which I don't think the colts really have. So that would explain TRich not being amazing yet. But my point is at a top 3 pick I would've thought he would stick out a bit more. Over his career, which I know isn't even 2 seasons, he has 1200 yards and 3.5 ypc. If your a Colts fan are a bit concerned or do you chalk it up to playing behind two bad O-lines?
  13. Indy has been pretty impresive, most people were thinking they would be hard pressed for a wildcard spot, but sure looks like they will take the division and dare I say home feild advantage too? But is just me or is anyone been pretty underwhelmed by what TRich has done. Admittedly I have never paid too close of attention to him prior to the trade, but just getting 3 ypc is hardly impressive. Sure its a new system and it takes time to learn it. Also I don't think Indy has the O-line to run that power game either, and yes I do realize those are probably the hardest players to get too. But still I havent been overly impressed. Luck on the other hand wow
  14. I don't man, I found that game last night pretty entertaining. I'm going to have to eat some crow here as well, I would've never imagined that the Browns would be 3-0 and leading the AFC North after dumping T Rich. Good for Weeden too, he played respectable last night, which must have been a tough situation just coming off injury not expecting to get any snaps to pretty much playing the whole game. And wow does Benjamin ever have some speed
  15. Off by day...so long Freeman. I wonder if any team takes a flyer on him
  16. This pure homer/hater talk. Brady is a top 5 QB to ever play in the NFL, there is no doubt in that and anyone who says otherwise is a fool. But c'mon man, ya Manning is playing on very talented team and they have a weak schedule but you can't take away from what he has accomplished so far, it could very well be a record breaking season, for more than one record at that. Patriots are doing well, but you have to admit Brady is having a sub-par season for him standards, he's barely top 10 in QBR, hasn't put up goddly yards or TDs yet. Obviously the new receivers(or lack there of) are hindering him, but I can think of atleast one other QB who is in a very comparable situation and is having a far better season. Obviously Brady will turn it around, and I expect big things out of him and the Pats in the coming weeks, but trying to say his season is more impressive than Mannings so far is just hater talk. Same goes for Wilson, he's not having a spectacular season either. I find it a bit funny how quick Pats fans or a few teams fans for that matter give all the glory to their QBs for wins, yet when they lose they put the blame on anything but him. Pats are 4-0 and look pretty good, but I'd say thats more inspite of Brady, rather than because of him(not to say he's been awful but just not himself). You should be giving more props to your defense for your record I think, rather than going on and on about Brady.
  17. Wow ugly is understatement. I don't understand why the Bucs bother try to trade him, who is going to give up a thing when everyone knows that the Bucs are desparate to get rid of him. I hear some of the beat reporters are saying he will be cut by friday
  18. Brees is a class act, but how was he treated wrong, he had a very serious injury to his throwing shoulder. Not many people thought he would be the same after that. He was offered a 5 year 50 million dollar contract, though most of was performance based insentives. I don't think thats unreasonable for a qb at the time with questionable health.
  19. Was refferring to Rivers Gates combo holds the NFL record for TD receptions between QB and TE. Graham today is probably better, but time for everyone to give Rivers and Gates respect again
  20. Huge win, I was a bit nervous when we had 4 replacement olinemen playing but they did good. Love this new offense, rivers was a beast and healthy gates is playing like he's a kid again. Best qb te combo in league is back
  21. I'd say Seahawks. I think on overall talent level Harvin is one of the best in the game, which I know is quite the bold statement. But also I just don't have faith in Gore, I have no reasoning behind that but for some reason I'm expecting either an injury or just a drop off in production all together. It also seems like d-coordinators are starting to figured out how to stop the read option. So it will be interesting to see which one of these teams can adapt and move on faster
  22. You guys should just drop this, this debate of who is better will never end. They are both in the top 5 in the history of the the position. Peyton has an unreal mind, and can tell you exactly what every player on the feild is going to do before they do it, but he doesn't have as of good arm. Brady is probably the best in the pocket I have evr seen. He is fearless, he has the better arm compared to Manning, though I don't think he quite has the same mind, and he runs like a baby giraffe. For what its worth I'd say Brady is slightly better Manning(though thats splitting hairs) but if I was starting team in todays game I'd take Rodgers over both
  23. Hve you seen our injury report for this week yet. Thankfully it seems like Butler, Fluker and Te'o. Butler coming back is obviously the most important. But it looks like Clary, Rinehart and Dunlop may miss this game. Great only 3 of our starting O-linemen. Gilchrist might miss as well, though he is nothing special, our secondary is bad enough how it is. I am hopefull though for this week, I don't think dallas that good, but we will have to be on top of our game. Next week tho thats a big game in my eyes, I cannot stand the raiders
  24. Ya I thought all those Revis rumors were dispelled though. The rest makes sense though, plus don't forget Freeman is just an awful QB too. He has that uncanny ability to throw every deep ball out of bounds and impossible for his receivers to catch. I really don't think he was doing himself any favors either. But in saying so I'm a big hater of Schiano, I think he is a horrible coach and I wouldn't be surprised at all if he's first one fired.
  25. Probably pretty horrible, maybe 200 something yards a few ints and maybe a td. From what I heard of him is he has big arm, but a small character. So who knows how he will turn out. I don't know Tampa well but they seem to be set up to run the ball, set up the play action and throw deep. Which in a league with bonus points for +40 and +60 yards might be passable. Also this is a really deep league(14 teams, 20 players per, 2 starting QBs), on $1 contract thats good for a starting qb, especially if he is servicable, will be nice to have when dealing with the salary cap. Not worth it in standard leagues. In terms of the teams play he can't be much worse than Freeman can he lol? Also I am hearing Ponder is out this week with a "rib" injury lol.
