  1. It should be an interesting match up, I bet we will see Brees picking on whoever is playing that second corner spot. Should be interesting to see how they deal with Graham as well, do you put Sherman on him all day, like the Pats threw that I don't really like(forget his name) on him all game to shut him down? that would leave Colston on whoever the other cb is with probably some safety help. Then the biggest question in my mind is how Harvin plays or is used. As without him, I've argued Seattle is very 1-dimensional. Carrol has already come out and said they won't be changing the playbook to suit Harvin, which sounds somewhat ridiculous to me. As in my opinion he's probably top-3 or top-5 playmakers in the NFL, why would you not draw up some 'Percy Harvin' Plays. Unless he's going to be used more to keep defenses honest and free up space for others. Of course the possibility is Carrol just liar, which is probably more probable. We will see what happens, Saints defense is a lot better than many people think. I sure wouldn't be surprised if the Saints pull out the win, though its just certainly nice seeing Seattle finally having to play a good team
  2. Ya I noticed that after I saw the schedule, Sunday is a huge game for you guys. Personally I hope you either win the division or lose out, you have the tie-breaker over us in the final wild card spot, though if you were to win San Diego would have the tie-breaker over Indy since we beat them. So good luck this weekend, it should be a good match up. I am curious though, what do you think they do in the draft next year, take a qb or no? Is it dependent on this season at all, or is it just time to do so. Locker seems like he could be a good qb but his health has to be a concern
  3. I saw the news on Cutler, big considering he'd even take the franchise tag. There was certainly a lot of talk on whether the Bears would want him back, so will be interesting how that plays out. Colts will win the division, because well who else would? They only need maybe 3 wins to really to clinch it, which 2 of those games are against Houston and Jacksonville. They should be ok, but they certainly need to start looking for that Wayne replacement in the draft. and as much as I mocked Cleveland earlier, Indy has to figure out something with Richardson because thats looking more and more like trade-rape
  4. Ya Rivers is having an amazing year, and its being really underreported but thats typical of anything out of San Diego, they just don't make the headlines. Their O-line is playing a lot better, which is very surprising. Its because of the new coaches, the switch to Zone Blocking Scheme but it does bring hope. They have a couple nice WRs too, I can't say enough about Keenan Allen, he's fastly becoming one of my favorite players, why he wasn't drafted in the 1st round last year is just ridiculous. We still have a lot holes and depth is just really our problem right now. Our deffense is missing a healthy pass rusher at least, and beside Weddle our secondary is adbismal. But we all knew it was rebuilding year anyways, contending for a wild card spot is def a pleasant surprise, I'm pretty excited for the next few years
  5. Got to post this just because I love this stat: Most games in a season with atleast 390 yards passing: 2013 Phillip Rivers - 4 games 1990 Joe Montana - 4 games 1984 Dan Marino - 4 games c'mon Phillip lets break this record, maybe in week 14 when I'm in San Diego to watch
  6. They both play in the AFC, 1st in every division plays all the other 1st in their conference; 2nds vs 2nds etc. Its pretty much guaranteed they will faceoff atlest a couple more times
  7. Oh ya didn't mean it as a knock against your plan. Thats solid idea, like you said you still have that 2 week window to cancel if they don't make it. Was just meaning its I think its a lot harder than most people think to get to the super bowl, and there is certain degree of luck needed as well as talent. In a single playoff, I could see several teams beating Seattle, thats not to say that I think they would or Seattle wouldn't be the favorite. But could I see, say Brees being able to outscore them, yes its possible. I'd say San Fran, Carolina, and even Green Bay if they make it, all have shot beating them, and if I was a Seattle fan I'd be somewhat concerned at the very least. But hey just my opinion Anyways congrats to NPF, and the Pats that was good game last night. Coming towards the end there I was thinking we might have 2 ties. I would've liked to see it end a bit better, but hey special teams are a big part of the game too. I find also find it really satisfying seeing the donkeys losing after a 24 point lead at half, considering what happened to us last year. I need to think of a good excuse to get out of work thursday, I hate missing these thanksgiving day games
  8. Hey Romo(or other Cowboy fans), how do you feel about Jerry saying Garret is back for another season? I'm not so certain he's the problem, as I don't follow closely enough, but it would seem they need a culture change in Dallas to try to rid themselves of this self destruction, and what better way than to get a new coach
  9. Wow there is some blind homerism going on in this thread lol. I wouldn't be so quick to crown the Seahawks SuperBowl Champs, I wouldn't even be so certain they make it to New York. There has been several teams in the past ranked 1st in offense and 1st defense to crash out before the Super Bowl, and Seattle isn't 1st in either. Seattle is certainly the favorite but with exception of the NFC East winner, I could definitely see the other 4 playoff teams being able to roll into Seattle and coming out with the win. I would still like to see some sort of passing game out of Seattle before I prematurely crown them.
  10. I agree it won't even be close on mondays game. I'd say the two offensives are comprable, but Washintons def is awful. Plus it sure sounds they are playing a little blame game in Wash, which you don't ever like hearing. Agree about the Grey Cup as well, I don't know why they don't try to offset the the whole season from the NFL season. I am a horrible CFL fan, so I realize not everyone is like me, but I'd a lot more inclined to watching the playoffs and Grey Cup if they weren't occurring mid NFL season
  11. I think the John Beason trade was the big turning point for the Gmen. The difference he has made on the defense is huge, I know my brother has been begging for a competent mlb for years, looks like they got something with him. Not bad for 7th round pick. Should be interesting race between them and your team.
  12. As messed up as that is thats nothing new to the NFL. Everyone knows Rapethisburger whipped his dick out stuck it in a random girls beer, yet still is starter. It seems we barely go a year with out someone been accused for sexual assualt. Probably because most these guys have rarely been turned down by girl so they just become more obscene about it. If you think these stories coming out about Igcognito are just true about then thats a pretty naive way to look about it I think. Don't fool yourself some of these issues that are being brought to light are not unique to just the phins but are more likely widespread throughout every locker room. Its too bad because I really like the NFL but there are certainly several cultural problems that exist. I do not know about you guys but I'm done with this story now, just more looking forward to seeing some more good games now. Last nights wasn't half bad though, though boy its no wonder Vikings are doing so horrible, their coach is making a few questionable moves in their 4 min offense and 2 min defense. I do not know if you guys saw it(I was Alberta so couldn't watch the nux game) but man Vikes were up 7 points, Washinton had the ball on the vikings I dunno 12? yard line with no timeouts and the clock running, and Leslie Frazer called a time out. C'mon man what the hell are you doing lol, you got lucky there
  13. Ya there are so many conflicting reports out there now its hard to beleive what is true and what is not anymore. I just read on NFL.com about Hartline saying the Martin was laughing when he first heard the voicemail. Like you said though thats just what a teammate says, so who knows what is really true. Part of me beleives what this guys has gone through is awful and that no teammate should ever have to go through that. Whereas the other part of me is far more skeptical and wonders if this is just some dumb media stunt or if the whole thing is just been blown out of porpotion. Its hard for me tell the real truths because all we have for hard facts is one voicemail taken out of context. I'm sure we have all had that friend we sh*t talk endlessly, atleast I do anyways, and if you only heard one voicemail between us, you might think we hate each other whereas it quite the opposite. Thats why I reserve my judgment until I know the whole story. I do find it strange that he has made it to this level, and I'm sure has been around similar guys his whole life, but hasn't learned to stick up for himself or how to deal with a guy like this. As meatheaded as it sounds c'mon you have to be man in these situations. But hey if this start of the end of Miami's season then great, maybe the same can happen for Tennesee, Jets and Browns and my Chargers can grab that last wild card spot. That would be sweet. btw Broncos are going to lose this weekend. High scoring affair but I can feel an upset
  14. I get where you coming from I am just saying there is more to the story than what we know. From that article it certainly sounded that things like that are similar in every locker room, which wouldn't necessarly surpise me, but are mostly taken more lightly or dealt with otherwise. It doesn't mean its right by any means but at the sametime I don't hold a NFL locker room to the same moral codes than say public office. Like I said I am just on the fence about the issue, and beleive it probably should've been dealt with in much different way than running to the media who without a doubt will twist the truths to sensationalize a story
  15. http://mmqb.si.com/2...s-lydon-murtha/ Adam Schefter retweeted this story this morning. Its definately an interesting read, there has been a lot of guys coming out in suport of Incognito. I am not exactly sure where I stand on the matter anymore, in a regular office its pretty cut dry, but sport and NFL is different
  16. Ya I sure got that one wrong this week. I'm not a Tampa fan but was sure cheering for them on Sunday, came so close to calling that upset. I was watching that just kicking myself for not putting money on that, I knew they would cover the spread
  17. Revis was in zone coverage against Philly not man coverage. It's possible kearse and Baldwin are good enough I just haven't seen much. Rice was different than what he used to be, he wasn't great this year at all, so the fact that he was ahead of the other 2 doesn't leave me much hope. Tampa winning is unlikely but just saying I could see it happening
  18. Yes I could see that as well. I was rather surprised when I looked up the Steelers Defense stats, their pass defense still is no joke like I mentioned, they are 2nd in the NFL. The run defence on the other hand is atrocious, I beleive they are 27th in NFL this year at stopping the run. So it could turn into quite a ground battle Sunday. So here is my boldest prediction of the year tell me what you guys think. I am going to go with Tampa Bay to win against Seattle or at the very least cover the 16 point spread and make it a very close game. So before you all start calling me crazy let me explain why. By the sound of all his interviews Coach Dipsh*t has finally realized what everyone who has ever watched football already knows. The best way to use Revis is in press coverage(I know shocking). Now if you saw Tampa's game last week you probably would've noticed that Revis well started to look like Revis. So what does that mean, well if Schiano does what he says he will do, that means Tate is going to be on Revis Island. I like Tate but not as number 1 receiver, you saw last game against St Louis, he simply cannot beat man coverage(which would make him better suited as a number 2 receiver). Tate basically had 1 play last week where if cb had played it right it would've been an INT. So against a seemingly heathly Revis I could see him blanketed. Now what that all could mean for Tampa's Def is it basically eliminates 1 side of the feild, meaning you could drop that safety and play him in the box all game either shadowing Wilson or helping stop Lynch. Couple that with Tampa's front 7 who are quite good at stopping the run, that could very well slow down Seattle considerably. I mean their only option would be Doug Balwin or Kearse, who I don't think pose much threat. On top of that you also have to factor in Seattles tackles, who lately have appeared like they are playing with roller skates on. In terms of Tampas offense, I really don't think Glennon is that bad of a QB. Since the bye week he's only had 1 turnover and has been at least passable. I am worried about Vincent Jackson though, being a chargers fan this just seems like one of those games he dissapears. It won't be easy for their offense and thats what worries me with this call, but I think they may only need to put up around 15 points and limit the turnovers which they should be able to do. I know this a lot of assumptions, a rookie qb playing at Quest Feild is definately 1 factor that I am kind of ignoring. And of course I'm also assuming Schiano doesn't screw things up himself, which is very possible. But I really do think they can surprise Seattle if they sort of follow St. Louis game plan, at the very least keep it quite the close game. Seattle has a good defense but I think their offense without Harvin, and minus their 2 starting tackles are very ordinary.
  19. I would certainly hope so, beating the Steelers has become like beating a fat kid in foot race. I think it will be more interesting to see if Brady can turn it around and you know play like a top 10 QB for once this year. Its second week in a row he has both Gronk and Amedola so one would think he would, though surprisingly the Steelers do have a good pass defense
  20. Austin has been very unwhelming this year, though in saying so I find it pretty strange how they choosing to use him. It seems like when I watch the rams anyways, he only gets the ball on bubble screens, or within a yard of line scrimmage. A guy who ran a 4.3 and is pretty shifty you think you would try to get him on some more slants or crossing routes or really any kind of play where he has some open space. But ya considering you had Keenan Allen and Terrance Williams go in the 3rd round, you would def expect a bit more out of 8th overall pick
  21. KC is a good fit, assuming of course Alex Smith gets over his fear of throwing into coverage lol. I don't think they would give up anything more than a 3rd to get him. I think that is fair for 8-11 games, Gonzo won't be coming back next year I'd bet annything on that. So then you would think from Alantas view point if you are only getting a third is it worth it? Or would you rather just let him finish his career as falcon, have that big sell out game as a good bye gonzo home game? I guess what I am saying is, though I think they should trade him, I get why they might not choose to to go that route.
  22. I agree you would like to see him traded. KC seems like the obvious trade partner and would be a good story as well. But what would Alanta get for him you think? My guess maybe a 4th or conditional 3rd if they make say divisional rounds.
  23. Jeff Fisher said after the game that Stacy had injured his ankle before the end of the game and Richardson had his chances and isn't really that protypical goal line back. Empty back feild was still strange tho, you would atleast think they would go with play action pass. Seattle looked awful though, they really need Okung back that offensive line is not very good. To make things worse Seattle right now(without Harvin) receiving core is horrible. The Rams were playing 8 men in the box and press coverage all game and that group of receivers couldn't get separation if their lifes depended on it. They really need Harvin, Russel Wilson is not a good qb if you can drop that extra safety and keep him in the pocket.
  24. He is a weird looking dude, especially with a helmet on. It looks like its too big for him. He did alright though, he's still a rookie so he made some rookie mistakes and over-threw balls, but his receivers didn't help much either. I don't know what the actual stat was but it seemed like they were dropping a few balls. Glennon is no future star but if the Bucs remain a run first team he seems like he could be a decent starter. His 2 minute drill looked good, had no problem slinging it around. Tampa though, wow what can you say about them. On paper I think they have a pretty talented team. I beleive there problem is Schiano, though I have disliked him and thought he was clown pretty much since his week 2 of last year. Newton is playing good lately, these past few games he's been smart with the ball, I didn't see too many passes where he was trying to force it just made smart plays
