  1. Rejoice bucs fans Freeman has been benched. And all of my sudden my $1 draft of Mike Glennon in a deep 2 QB dynasty league seems like a steal
  2. Tough losing it right at the end again. But considering the injuries we have had so far and well just what this team was supposed to be, being in it on all 3 games so far isn't bad. It was good too seeing ladrius green get some work in there too. He's going to be real good in the future
  3. I started him last night, geez. I really dislike Alex Smith, I actually question whether he needs glasses or something because it seems all he ever does is throw to people on a check down route or a shallow crossing route. Maybe his eyesight is just blury 10 yards down the feild?
  4. I think the biggest problem with Chip's up-tempo offense is much like you mentioned they are always doing it just for the sake of doing it. Yes thats great and all but in the end all it does is hurry up your offense and get them off the feild faster. You look at these last two games and when teams game plan for this, they have a huge advantage in possesion time. Do you think its good to leave your defense on the feild that long? Do you not think that d-line is just going to be exhausted by the end of the first half. Especially when you get offense that makes their calls at the line of scrimage, they can take their time still call the autibles they need and keeps the defense stuck on the feild. Thats what makes me skeptical about it anyways
  5. Certainly seems like it, they have 2 picks in the first third and fourth rounds now. I wonder if someone should tell the browns that rebuilding implies at some point your team gets better
  6. That is fair enough, but it seemed like Cleveland were well on their way to getting that high first rounder for a qb on there own before this trade. There must be some story that will be leaked out soon explaining that Richardson wanted out or was bad for the locker room or something. Or else I think this would rival the Carson Palmer trade as worst in recent memory. C'mon though Cleveland you couldn't atleast pull a 3rd out of Indy too?
  7. Whoa crazy crazy, Trent Richardson to the colts. Never saw that coming. Looks like magahee will be signed by the browns. Browns got themselves a nice collection of picks for next year now
  8. Well according to Adam Schefter Ryan Clady is out for the season with a lisfranc injury. That is a big blow, wouldn't be so confident of a super bowl appearance now as some on here are
  9. Wasn't that right around the same time Locker got the starting job? I don't watch nearly enough titans games but it seemed like you guys had a nice trio of wide outs there, but they don't get ever get any yards. Is Locker on the hot seat there at all or still on a free pass?
  10. Thats fair enough, fans like that annoy me just as much. I know what you mean too every year its a different team where all the obnoxious fans seem to come out of the wood work and ignore all logic and reason. Like you said and especially with NFL and the injuries that can happen you never know who will pull through until ya week 11-12. I am loving the irony here tho, as mid 2000s Patriots certainly had their fair share of fans like that lol, as does every team at one point of time.
  11. Ya but they have nothing to brag about, so have to hold onto the small things. Think of it as a canuck fan as well, how often do people still talk about 94? It sucks yes, hell I wish I could talk about something great San Diego accomplished recently too, but hasn't happened. Doesn't mean if they went on a run over this year and next I wouldn't be confident in my team. Some fans are just more obnoxious as others, chirping you makes no sense cuz you can always fall back on the arguement of oh look at our 3 SB wins
  12. So your just complaining about the fans? kind of a north west mentality tho is not? East coast teams gets the bias in media no matter what league we are talking about. I mean as canuck fan as well can you really say a whole we are any better lol Anyways who cares their team has been pretty awful in the past. You used to be able to buy tickets to games for dirt cheap, can't fault them for getting pretty excited about their team for once.
  13. Ya I think your hate for Seattle has a little far. I don't disagree with your original point that they might not be good enough this year. Especially if Okung doesn't heal properly from this latest injury, and if Harvin doesn't return. But they and 3 other teams(San Fran, GB and Denver) in my eyes should be considered the favorite. The hype around them is a bit much, and I think that is what probably bugs you. Though its certainly ironic hearing that from a pats fan lol
  14. Ya I hear there are a lot of trade rumors surrounding them as well.. Too bad for tampa fans because if you look at that defense and some of the play makers on their offense, they should be doing a lot better than they are. I have their rookie qb in dynasty league so I wouldn't mind seeing Freemen benched lol. Though I am not a fan of Schiano and his 'we play to final to the final whistle'. Just get out of here you clown lol
  15. That was a good day of football yesterday, both my fantasy teams appeared to have won an how about my super chargers!! We should be ok team this year, was good to see them play with some heart. I really wished I had picked up Royal last week. He should have a good fantasy season. Are you eagle fans a bit concerned? Chargers game planned how I thought teams would against Philly, use up the play clock keep that offense cold. Also why is Freeman still in the NFL? Semms to me the Bucs could be a decent team atleast with a real qb
  16. Not the first game no, but last nights yes. I thought they looked how I thought they would look. A team with a bunch of new faces on the offense. Dobson and Thompkins had a lot of drops, ran a few wrong routes. The rain didn't help things, but they are rookies and they are certainly going improve throughout the year. It takes time to develop chemistry with your QB and they will most likely be put in a situation where they get plenty of chances to do so. Bradys safety net in Gronk will be back, I'd guessing week 4, Vereen week 11. Dobson and Thompkins will be better by the playoffs, obvious not your Julio Dez or Calvin class, but say your Hilton or Jones level of production I don't see that being unreasonable. The AFC is not that good, I think your overreacting if you are hitting the panic button already.
  17. I disagree on a pure talent level, if you don't include mannings bronco years, their receiving core is comparable, Mannings probably a bit better tho. In saying that though you cannot claim New Englands receivers have been crap over the years either, they have been a decent group. Obviosly adding 3 legit wideouts would help, but let me you ask then where would you take a lesser player than you have right now in order to cap complient? What position, should've they spent less on, and don't give specific player names, because its too easy to look back and say oh so and so was overpaid. I truly think you are guys are fine, obviously it was going to be a rough week, you lost your 5 top receivers from last year, your best wide out on your team this year and your best receiving running back. Any new player takes a bit to learn a system, especially a rookie. Come end of the season if they get enough reps in they will be fine, and assuming everyone comes back from injury, Pats will yet again be one of the AFC favorites. I mean who else besides the donkeys really poise a threat?
  18. This is exactly why everyone hates patriot fans. Lol never any a good WR, well except those 3-4 years you had a top 5 WR ever to play the game on your team, oh and Welker who has been a nightmare in slot, oh and the those duel tight end sets that d-coordinators feared. That fact is Brady has a lot of talent to throw to over his years, just as good as Mannings(excluding this year obv). Amedola was just a bad pick up in my eyes, as a Pats fan if he plays 10 games for you this year you should ecstatic. He's had a history injuries, and not just freak ones but a few soft tissue injuries. Its a bit brash that you expect that to disappear as soon as he wears a pats jersey(not you specifically but pats fans in general I mean). And just a personal pet peeve can we please stop with the Bilichek is the greatest in history talk and is a god etc. He is a fantastic coach yes, but not even top 5 in most experts eyes
  19. Ok I got a fantasy question for you guys, I am in two leagues, 1 standard 10 man league - easy my team is stacked as is everyones. However the second league I am in is an Auction-style keeper league, 14 teams, 2 QB, 20 players per team(so extremely deep league). Though I drafted what I think is a pretty decent team, I am really thin at running back. My running backs are CJ Spiller, Montee Ball, Danny Woodhead, Kendal Hunter. I know its only been 1 game game but clearly Ball is not a starter or even close to it. My thinking tho is he will earn the starting spot eventually, I got him on a cheap contract and with no limits on how many we can keep(just have to meet salary cap)I am leaning to holding onto him, rather than trying to trade him. The problem is two back ups well are just that back ups, mind you they are both behind some pretty soft rbs. Because of the depth of the league the waiver wire is pretty skimpy, you have Powell who is a starter on there, tho I doubt a very goood one, and Tolbert is the other interseting name. I won't be making any rash decisions mind you I will probably wait to see how things play out a bit. but what do you guys think should I be trying to use my depth at other positions to trade for a rb, or do you think it might just be a rough start of the year for the rookie
  20. Seattle tickets are pretty pricey this year. Titans game is one of the cheaper ones I was looking at going to that game as well, I usually find NFL Ticket Exchange best priced. I used that to get some good seats in San Diego this year.
  21. The reason I could see Bowmeester making it is chemisrty, there certinly are better players. But he is going to play with Pietrangelo all year and in a short tourny you can't discredit that. Though in saying that I hope Kunitz doesn't make it, and am I the only one who thinks we may have better options than Nash? I atleast don't see him as a lock like TSN is saying.
  22. Aaron Rogers is still the better fantasy qb compared to stafford. GB has the worst run game in the NFL, Detroit throws a lot but not so much in the red zone, they ran in a lot of TDs last year. I don't think you are right about the running QBs either. In fact they are the reason why QB is so deep this year in my opinion. Sure maybe Kap only throws for on average 150 yards, but he also gets 60 yards rushing, those rushing points definately make up for the lack of throwing yardage. Also runnning QB's tend to run in a lot of TDs themselves, most leagues your QB will get 4 point for a passing td but 6 for a rushing td(if they score it). A good rushing qb is just as good as your Brady, Rogers, Brees in fantasy anyways.. The only downside is they are at risk of injury more, but thats part of the game that makes it challenging
  23. Ya check out Matthew Berry's rankings, I like him I tend to agree with him. http://espn.go.com/fantasy/football/story/_/page/NFLDK2K13_Berry_200/matthew-berry-top-200-overall-fantasy-football-rankings-2013 Looking at those maybe go Chris Johnson Matt Forte first two picks? Then maybe WR, WR(would be Cruz and Andre Johnson) then could have Witten or Gonzalez with either Stafford or Kapernick as your following two picks. That would be decent start...just my opinion tho I am far from a guru
  24. Depends on how many teams are in your league, but ya RB/RB or maybe RB/TE say if your in a 14 team league. The only reason why I say that is because I beleive Jimmy Graham will be a step above every other TE this year, and that would be a nice advantage for you. Wait on QB, its a deep year for them especially with all the rushing QBs
  25. Yes exactly, if your in another league try drafting those positions first and see how your team looks. I think the difference between say Graham vs Bennet would benefit you on week to week basis and being stuck say with Eli vs Rogers or Dez vs Megatron(just picking names off the top of my head don't hold me to the rankings lol). But don't get me wrong still looks good. I think CJ will return to his true form again, megatron won't get the yards but his TDs should be up from last year. Bush is an unknown but I bet he has a good year. Out of curiosity did anyone take Vincent Brown from the chargers?
