Made a killing investing in HBM in 2006. Gradually pissed away almost all the profits. Maybe I should have said....If a pick has to be projected for 4 years down the road, it should be with a 5th rounder, not #5 overall. Keith was a fair gamble in the second round. Seabrook finished his junior and played a year in the AHL, quite a normal hope for #14. I wonder if there is a successful top 5 pick that didn't make the NHL until year 4. No one comes to mind...maybe I will investigate.

18-19 in Utica means 19-20 with Canucks...that's year 4. But I guess that would be OK.

If a pick is being projected 4 years down the road...it should be with a 6th rounder. I wonder how often this 4 year incubation of a defenseman works out.

I would take Juolevi in that case. I like the pick less now than I did on draft day. I was one of the groaners when JB announced it.
