All this Calder talk about Hughes and Makar is overshadowing the fact that Ilya Samsonov is dominating the net in Washington. It's not even a contest between him and Holtby.
He's probably this year's Binnington even if he breaks out in the 2nd half. For all the team success he might have and for all he may become, he's only on pace to play 32 games, and so for now at least it's still Holtby's net. At most he's a distant 4th behind Makar, Quinn and Olofsson.
