  1. Does anyone feel bothered by Sony putting out a movie as terrible as Morbius, only to get financially propped up thanks to the memes about it?

I am, because Sony will never again feel the need to put in any solid effort or planning for other movies like Kraven. And if they reboot Spider-Man again, those films will be a black mark on some actor's career, just like they did to Andrew Garfield.

The memes aren't actually generating dollar value. Memesters are literally streaming the movie on loop on Twitch for free. As much as Morbius has infiltrated meme culture, I don't see it getting a sequel. Morbius will probably appear in other Sony Marvel movies but that's probably the extent of it even if the movie was 100% real and used no CGI whatsoever....

Sony's handling of their Spider-Man rights has been questionable at best, both Venom movies were garbage. Their only saving grace has been Marvel's handling of Spider-Man in the MCU.

But yeah, I'm more irritated by the direction Star Wars has gone too. The last trilogy was garbage and the movies got progressively worse over the course of it.

Mandalorian and Boba Fett have helped, Rogue One was great. Solo was underrated but was impacted by the backlash against TLJ. Bad Batch was fun.

Kenobi's been alright, gonna need more from it though. I question their writing and creative leadership. The Clone Wars animated series is still peak Star Wars, but most of that was pre-Disney.
