So let's hypothetically say, the Leafs decide to blow it up and start over.

Who has the salary cap to take their players?

Toronto and Vancouver might just be stuck, just because not a lot of teams have cap space.

Wouldn't be surprised if he opted to leave tbh, sure he didn't show up this past series against Florida but the track record of having repeatedly choked in the first round prior to that doesn't help. 

He'd get his money anywhere. Imagine Anaheim throwing the bank at him, they could certainly afford it. Henrique and Silfverberg coming off the books alone pays for a large chunk of whatever he'd get. 

I personally think Anaheim makes a lot of sense. They're likely to be better than Arizona sooner than later and he could trade in the Toronto microscope for being largely anonymous in California.
