    I agree for sure. I think he'll play a lot like tanev but a little more offensive upside. Really liking this kids progression not to mention he's a captain and obviously has good leadership qualities.

    Ya the more I think about it makar is really growing on me. If vilardi is gone which is likely I'd be tempted to take makar.

    Good. I don't see timmy being a good pick at 5. Maybe if he had a better shot.

    Drafting makar would on one hand make me very nervous but on the other hand extremely excited for what he could be. Benning's got some balls if he takes this kid at 5, we all know the way the local media would go with this especially if he didn't progress rapidly.

    Oh I'm not saying foote will be there in the 2nd at all. I'm saying package both our 2nds for a mid 1st and pick foote.

    Oh for sure it will look different. Don't get me wrong I like all the young guys jb has brought in I'd just like to see more youth with size as well as skill sorry forgot to quote you j.r.

    Canucks desperately need jake to become an nhler, even if only a 3rd line winger who pots 12-15 goals a year. They need his size and speed and snarl especially in the playoffs because the rest of the forward group looks pretty soft so far.

    I've been watching his high light packages this morning and he definitely reads the game. He seems to have good passing skills along with strong skating ability but he wouldn't be my first choice at 5. I'd take one of vilardi, heiskenen, glass, makar ahead of him.
