  1. Sign skinner. skinner, petey, boeser pearson, bo, virtanen
  2. Peyton Krebs please. Kid oozes character and looks very talented. Also liking Newhook quite a bit, good size and plays a fearless style plus he’s a center.
  3. Good luck to breezer tonight in his nhl debut! Hopefully he can grow into a tanev replacement with that calm collected style of play.
  4. Just watched building brock, kid is a stud. With boeser, petterson, horvat, virtanen as our young forward core then sprinkle in goldobin and leivo and gaudette man the future is bright! Really hoping we draft byram with our first to go along with hughes and juolevi and hopefully woo and brisebois. This could be one hell of a team in a couple years.
  5. Ya I have confidence he’ll turn it around. I always have a soft spot for our canadian prospects, really pulling for Lind and Gadjovich
  6. Good to hear something positive about this kid, hopefully he can build some confidence and have a strong second half.
  7. Yes his last goal was flukey and you took that and ran with it. It’s pretty clear you’re only here to downplay anything he does well and hi lite any mistakes he makes. Oh and your argument was if the expansion draft was today that they would expose jake and keep Roussel and beagle..... absolutely laughable.
  8. People are happy jake is becoming a solid player and at such a young age you’d have to be off your nut to expose him in an expansion draft like you stated earlier. You downplay everything he’s doing well as “flukey” which makes you come across as either a hater or a simpleton. Most people disagree, it’s not complicated.
  9. The fact that you’re so sure about who the better pick was regardless of how young they still are is what’s so funny. I’m guessing you haven’t been around long, it’s not always the quickest out of the gate that wins the race. You state things so mattter of factly which is what makes you sound like a wanna be gm.
  10. Just amazes me how a few posters continue to troll jake regardless of how much he’s improved. Now anything he does well is a “fluke”
  11. So he was a bad choice but you’re no arm chair gm? Sounds to me like quite the contradiction there.
  12. Lol, let me guess, you cringe every time jake scores as it won’t fit your little narrative which you’ve probably been clinging to since the day he was drafted because you were an ”ehlers guy”?
  13. Overall jake is pretty good defensively especially for a 22 year old. He makes the odd mistake in his own zone but what young player doesn’t?
  14. In a straight line just for flat out speed I’d be willing to bet he’s top 10 easily.
  15. I agree 100%. His attitude is second to none and so much compete in his game. He strikes me as a big game clutch kind of player.
  16. I sure hope so he’s one of my favourite prospects.
  17. Not gonna lie I’m a bit bummed out woo didn’t get an invite. Could’ve been a great experience for him.
  18. 3 assists and a -1? He’s obviously extremely gifted offensively but how is his play in his own end? Can anyone comment on how he’s looked defensively?
  19. I still remember the kings picking tanner pearson a few picks after gaunce and thinking uh oh.
  20. Notice I used the word become? Also I disagree that he refuses to drive the net, sure he could do it more often. Patience is key with all our young players and he’s slowly improving from what I see.
  21. As long as he’s progressing and getting noticeably better then I’m happy. I just find it ridiculous when people have this expectation that every top ten draft pick is going to be a super star and if not then they’re a bust. Like I said in my original post, if he can become a 15-20 goal type player who is intimidating and hard to play against then that’s fine with me. Is that unrealistic?
  22. And you guys think every top ten pick should be a star immediately or they’re automatically a bust. Like I said he started showing what he’s capable of at the end of last season and will likely continue to progress this year especially if he ever gets some ice time with quality line mates. To me anyone who thinks they can forecast exactly what a player is at such a young age is giving themselves too much credit. I’d bet dollars to doughnuts that green himself still isn’t sure just how good or bad jake will be.
  23. Um he just turned 22..... he had 10 goals last year and was playing way better in the 2nd half of the season. It doesn’t take some wild stretch of the imagination to think he could become a 15-20 goal player. Anyone who’s already written off jake as a bust hasn’t been watching hockey very long IMO. Players mature at different rates.
  24. How did I know that would be taken out of context as I wrote it.
  25. Interesting. His versatility makes him even more desirable
