Greater Vancouver 3:47 PM PST Friday 25 January 2008 Snowfall warning for Greater Vancouver issued Snowfall amounts of 5 to 10 cm expected over the south coast except 15 cm over Howe Sound. Higher amounts of 15 cm are forecast for Bella Coola and up to 25 cm near Stewart. This is a warning that significant snowfall is expected or occurring in these regions. Monitor weather conditions..Listen for updated statements. A cool moist pacific system is expected to sweep southwards overnight reaching the Lower Mainland by Saturday afternoon. Snow will begin over northern and central Vancouver Island and the northern Sunshine Coast tonight and then spread over southern regions Saturday morning.
