canucklehead666
Do you actually know the song? Or are you posting it for ease of use for others. That's just ridiculous. I'll stick with my favorite southern Metal band. Pantera both

HighwayToHell
Anybody like Black Label Society? Most of their best songs are not really "popular" or "known" I respect Zakk Wylde's accomplishments as a musician and his talent for playing the guitar. He gets all points from me on that. But, their somewhat subtle but not so much religious-themed overtones kind of rub me the wrong way. You're talking to someone who's been a huge black metal fan since he first discovered it when he was 15. So our styles kind of clash.
VICanucksfan5551
How about a little COUNTRY metal? Ugh, that's pretty bad.
HighwayToHell
Country and Metal are two words that should NEVER be put together in the same sentence, much less tried to be fused into a new genre. Ugh. Keep that redneck junk out of metal.

Ugh. Keep that redneck junk out of metal. Agreed 100%. I don't mind bands that have subtle country influences (i.e. Pantera, Alice In Chains), but a full on fusion of country and metal is pretty damn horrific. canucklehead666
really? well I guess we all make mistakes. That kinda makes me think a little less of Pantera though it was basically pantera with david allen coe singing instead of phil... coe is quite the "good ol' boy" (read: racist) when it comes to his music... google search some of his song titles... a black mark on dime's legacy for sure tomorrow is the 5th anniversary of his death btw
canucklehead666
I was fortunate enough to see Pantera live twice, once on the VDOP tour at the Commodore, the second at the Coliseum on the GSTK tour. I met him and the other members of Pantera outside the back door of the Commodore, got some autographs and chatted for a few moments. Everything you see in videos of Dime was true. He was larger than life, somewhat humbled by the adorations of the fans and genuinely into crankin out the metal and having fun. Hard to believe that 5 years have passed on the day that was without a doubt the hardest one to deal with as a metalhead. Here's some of his legacy, and make sure if you can go see a tribute show, or even swing by a bar tomorrow, to have a blacktooth grin in his honor. RIP Dime, you are missed. Bromley was a journalist for Unrestrained! and Metal Maniacs, probably the best metal writer this country ever produced (one of them) and a legendary figure in the toronto metal scene. RIP. HighwayToHell
They haven't been jailed or institutionalized yet? Varg was recently released from jail after serving 13 years for the murder of former Mayhem guitarist Euronymous, as well as the arson of several churches in their area of Norway. Varg is an Odinist, and he was merely fighting back against the Christians who had invaded their land and built the churches without permission from the land owners of the area.
