Kazmanian Devil
Signings F Evander Kane has come to terms with the Winnipeg Jets on a 5-year, 22M contract extension that will pay him 4.5M annually. Winnipeg clearly expressed that Evander would be the face of the franchise and will do their utmost to build around the young, dynamic forward. Evander had no problem with signing a long-term deal for the only NHL team he has played for, as he will emerge from the contract on the cusp of being able to test the free agency market, and become the tied for second-highest paid player on the team at only 20 years old. Kane is excited to play in a Canadian market and looks forward to helping the Jets make the playoffs in their long-awaited return to Winnipeg! Niloc009
The Lecavalier sweepstakes have now ended. Upon league approval, Vinny and a teammate have been sent to a Western Conference team for a hard hitting defenseman and a top 6 centre. Rumours say that Martin St. Louis has been named the new team captain with Steven Stamkos and Mattias Ohlund wearing the A's.

Niloc009
Pretty good. You addressed the need for a #1 goaltender, and you got a pretty good trade for a guy that is 10 times overpayed
