Chimon Posted December 21, 2011 Share Posted December 21, 2011 Announcement on Signing Prospects GMs do not have to sign recently drafted prospects as they will retain their rights for 2 years counting from the year they are drafted, unless the prospect has already been signed prior to this league being formed. e.g. Drafted in 2011 [RNH/Landeskog year], sign by 2013; Drafted in 2010 [Hall/Seguin year], sign by 2012. You can still sign them if you really want, but recent prospects would likely be better off in major junior anyway due to their ratings/overall.
