Scoring Touch---- Concerns Me.

We went from 3 scoring lines to 2. We effectively reduced our offensive ice-time by 33%. So if we are down from 3 goals a game to 2, it makes sense. Let's face it, we need the checking line, and Sammy is a welcome addition to the team. Get used to these 1-0, 2-1 games in the playoffs.

The Canucks may prove to be in hot water for this series even if Daniel Sedin comes back. Unfortunately the Kings have had a great scouting read on the Canucks and are prepared for the cycle. The Canucks need to make a better effort at getting people in front of the net moving forward. This is how they scored both of their goals, and the only way they will beat the Kings. Danny doesn't exactly conform to that style play.

No one young player on this team have the scoring touch of Coho and the Canucks have changed from an offensive team to a defensive one after the trade. A defensive team is what the afraid- to- lose AV wants. This team is now talking about winning many one goal games in the playoffs. If this team thinks they can sit on a one goal lead, they are going to get burnt just like before. Just take a look at the Pittsburg and Philadelphia game, a 3 goal cushion cannot guarantee a win and the moron AV and Hank are still dreaming of winning by one goal.

I think the reluctance to shoot is even more concerning than the lack of scoring touch. This team does not have too many players who can make that perfect pass in the offensive zone which they just keep trying. They have to put more damn pucks on net and go for the rebounds and this is the only winning formula for the talents they have. But it does not look good because Vancouver has been outshot, some by a wide margin, in most games in the second half of the season.

The offence as powerful as it can be is very inconsistent. Both twins went to sleep for an extended stretch during the season. Raymond is always hot or cold (more so cold). Kesler and Booth are in a horrible funk. The only guy who scores with any consistency is Burrows.

To win 16 games in the playoffs you need guys who are consistent, we don't have that. I have no idea what the answer is. Hope MG does.

Vancouver did not score enough goals in the SCF to lose the series. Early this season things were different as Coho's third line had been able to score timely important goals when the top two lines were shut down in games. But the moron afraid-to-lose AV took away this scoring third line when he requested a checking center for the third line and got Pahlsson to replace Coho. Now that Vancouver once again cannot score vs LA, AV should be gone after being swept but what is MG going to do this summer? I won't be surprised if he is going to get more CHECKERS to solve the lack of scoring problems. Great job done by MG in the Coho trade.

In the last 10 playoff games we have scored a total of 12 goals. 11 really if you think like I do that Burr's goal in game one against LA shouldn't have counted due to Kesler's interference.

This is unacceptable production during clutch time. Your top scorers have to score. We have only 1 guy willing to drive the puck to the net and that's Booth and he's in a horrible slump. The offence needs to improve if we're going to win it all.
