Auximenes
one bad year doesn't make him a bad player give him one more, if he doesn't bounce back (which i think he will, then we can talk trade)
MrsCanuck
Guess he decided to quit contributing offensively after the Nashville series.

fagin
No goals in the playoffs. 1 goal in the last 15 games. When is the last time Kesler looked dangerous out there? The only that he is noticeable for is trying to embellish penalties. We are not in the dressing room, but I have to think that seeing a leader on your team out there flopping and whining cannot sit well. Management instructed him to cut it out last year, which he did, but has now reverted back to these shenanigans. Kesler is supposed to be a gritty two-way forward, but honestly Brown and Richards are making him look like a chump this series. Kesler's no trade clause does not kick in until the start of the 2012-13 season. Could this be another Carter/Richards situation where he is moved in the off season? nuck nit
Kes is a great hockey player and he will be back on top. He needs some rest and will surprise next year. To all you fair weather fans I submit my bird to you all.

gumshoe242
Maybe Av has lost Kesler and the rest of the team?
sashcro
Why would he have a no-trade that does not start until 2012-13? Is it possible that he and management already discussed that if the canucks dont win the cup, that they would part ways?
DIBdaQUIB
What's wrong with Kesler? The expectations of what he is are unreasonable. He had a career season last year scoring most of his points on a dynamic PP. He was very effective defensively, thus the Selke. The problem is, he is not a dynamic offensive player or goal scorer. He is the epitome of a Selke THIRD line centerman. IN that role, he is possibly the best in the league. As a 2nd line centerman, he does not have the instincts or talent to put up the necessary points and be successful 5 on 5. Virtually every top 9 player on this team has played on his line this year and in every case, their production has dropped. Kesler is being misused by AV though, with the team doesn't really have options right now. IN the off-season, I would try to get a legitimate 2nd line scoring centerman and look at putting Kesler either on his wing, or back to 3rd line sut down duties. He could still be effective on the PK and PP but woudl be better suited to what the team needs.
sdnucksfan
I think the coach has no answers for the team. I think the team is lost under AV; its that simple. They have no faith in AV and its his own fault. Have we ever seen Kessler benched? When was the last time AV motivated any of his team. Why is Raymond even playing, or Salo, or Edler these last few games. If the team is so deep why play an aging Dman or high speed floater. Oh well some small change and the fans will keep coming to Rogers arena, but AV is done.
Mr. Anderson
Not that I'm defending Kesler, he has been sub par all year...but embelishing? He didn't embelish anymore than Richards did. Yet all the haters are calling the Canucks divers? What a joke. The Kings are more like Queens IMHO - almost every time they see a hit coming, they turn their backs - hoping to draw a penalty (which they have done several times this series). KB_3
Both Kesler and Edler need to step it up. It was edlers fault that brown scored. Kesler is playing horible he needs to step it up.
