Alchemy Time Posted June 24, 2012 Share Posted June 24, 2012 To Tor: Luongo Ballard Booth Rodin 2013 1st To Van: Kadri Lupul Komisarek Bozak Toronto only takes on about 3 mil in cap hit, where as we get room to sign Schnieder to a raise. The Komisarek contact may be worse than Ballard's, but at least he is a right-handed shot that could play with Edler. Obviously Kadri is great because we need more depth in centre prospects (Even with Schroeder and Gaunce) and Bozak is a guy who can fill in as a 2nd line centre and play the wing on the second line when Kesler comes back. Obviously the Leafs need Luongo, Ballard COULD rediscover his game in Toronto, and Booth fits Burke's American powerforward "Ideal player" model better than Lupul. Bozak = Booth * Bozak's contract is a lot better than Booth and he is a pretty decent 2nd/3rd center. David Booth would be a good fit for them however Bozak is a key piece in Toronto (better than Tim Connolly). Kadri > Rodin and 1st VAN * Rodin isn't progessing and that 1st rounder will be a 25-30 pick and Kadri is still a blue-chip prospect (IMO better than Schroeder). Even though the 2013 draft is going to be deep, Kadri would succeed if given the chance (Burke keeps sheltering him).
