MDHughes604
To ANH: D Alex Edler, D Keith Ballard, C Jordan Schroeder, 2013 1st round pick, conditional 2013 2nd round pick To VAN: LW Bobby Ryan, RW Emerson Etem Vancouver picks up a defensively aware yet offensively talented prospect who is 2-3 years away as well as one of the premier shot-takers/goal scorers/naturally talented offensive players in the league. Anaheim acquires a PP QB they desperately need since the loss of Lubo (Edler), as a puck-moving D-man to provide depth on a thin blue line (Ballard). They also pick up an immediate impact top 6 prospect in Schroeder, as well as a 1st rounder next year. Potential Top 6 Lineup: SEDIN-SEDIN-BURROWS RYAN-KESLER-BOOTH I like the look of that 2nd line Thoughts?
hockeyfan90
You're going to get flamed lol...Apparently many people here on CDC won't want to trade anyone good yet they want someone good lol
ButterBean
I'd rather go for Doan in free agency than give up all of that for Ryan. Doan may be less offensively talented and older, but he won't cost us any assets and he provides more leadership and grit for us. This move hurts us now and in the future in my opinion. Edler is still a really good defenseman despite his issues in our last series with LA and giving up Schroeder plus picks makes our prospect pool even worse than it already is. Jägermeister
We wouldn't be able to make a cap dump to Anaheim. They have to resign Getzlaf, Perry, and Fowler in a year, there is no way they would want to be on the hook for Ballard when that time comes. Smashian Kassian
As stated by ButterBean. I would also rather get Doan, he's not as offensively gifted but he still big, can skate, he's still a good offensive player and he brings leadership. Plus we don't have to give up a big combination of good roster players & young talent/picks.

MDHughes604
Replace Ballard with Tanev and thoughts? I don't know I just see Ryan fitting nicely on that 2nd line and I'd personally much rather give up prospects/picks to get him now rather than an aging Doan.
