Unpredictables
How would the Canucks do from the start to finish if we start the season today? Also, with the player upgrades from the other teams in our division, how would they measure up against them? Who will have a strong season and who will fail? JordanEberle
1. Canucks 2. Minnesota 3. Colorado 4. Edmonton 5. Calgary Outside of our division I think Dallas is going to have a fabulous season

Vancity87
To soon to know. However, as our roster stands now I think its going to be a dogfight for first between us and Minny.
Noheart
Not sold on Minny, they have the weekest top 6 defense in the division. Suter & Parise, are not franchise caliber. I will be shocked if 2 NW teams make the playoffs with Dallas improving as much as they did. WAY OVERHYPED
kloubek
I agree with Eberle: 1. Canucks 2. Minnesota 3. Colorado 4. Edmonton 5. Calgary For the West, I see: Vancouver Los Angeles St. Louis Detroit Minnesota San Jose Dallas Chicago Colorado Nashville Edmonton Anaheim Phoenix Calgary Columbus
CanucksFanMike
1. Canucks (2nd in west) yet another division title 2. Wild (6th in west) make playoffs with Parise and Suter 3. Flames (8th in west) barely squeek in with veteran roster 4. Avalanche (10th in west) miss playoffs in rebuilding year 5. Oilers (12th in west) underacheive with all their young guns, Tambellini is fired

Tanev's Smirk
30th The Canucks will peak after beating the Kings and then coast all year to a 2nd overall selection (EDM will select first. . . again).

suolucidir
I think Dallas is a better team then SJS and Minnesota. You compare Minnesota's top 6 to Dallas' and they are not even close. I wouldnt be surprised if they finished top
Meyer_Buttreeks
If the season started today I think we would be in trouble. We would be relying on our stellar goaltending tandem and improving defense to keep us above water. I'm not sure where our goals would come from. As a matter of fact, even with the season a few months away I still can't see where our scoring will come from.
disisdayear
Canucks: First in Division with 100-102 points; third in conference. Regular season conference movements: UP Kings - playoffs Wild - playoffs Stars - playoffs Oilers (but still out of playoffs...15th to 9th/10th) DOWN Canucks (111 points to 100-102 points) - playoffs Red Wings - playoffs Predators Coyotes SAME Blues - playoffs Sharks - playoffs Hawks - playoffs Avalanche Flames Ducks Blue Jackets Notwithstanding injuries and further FA signings/trades, unless Rinne and Smith can carry their teams like they did in 2011-2012, and system approach to their game is played to precision, I see Preds and 'Yotes being displaced by Wild and Stars for two playoff spots.
