Aswell, The music inside the arena has to be changed from this pop crap and changed to actual hockey music. Regarding the intro song, save U2 for the playoffs. When I hear U2 I think of the playoffs, i dont think of a game against the blue jackets in November. It's terrible, since when does hockey reflect the musical tastes of 14 year old girls? You all seem to want a family friendly environment, which is understandable but we should not feed in to the mediocrity and banality of what people deem acceptable to everyone. If I had a kid that got excited to the new Rihanna song or whatever at a hockey game, I would immediately try and sell that child, then try again. I get excited when we play away games, just because the music they use is something that is designed to build energy. If you want to come off as a big and mean team, you need to play big and mean music. No one is going to come in to our arena and be intimidated by hearing the latest buzz song. Get rid of all the dance, hip hop crap which DOES NOT belong in hockey one bit, and go back to music that actually gets the crowd into the game, such as rock, hard rock, alternative, and some metal. Having said that, I wanna hear it a lot more during 2012-13 than last season (hopefully hockey gets going sooner rather than later this season). It may be the Aussie in me coming out but I wouldn't mind AC/DC's Thunderstruck as the goal song.
