Roberts
Being a Royals and Canucks fan is painful when both teams are plagued with injuries year after year.

Roberts
The Victoria Royals history of game 1's in round 2 is not very great. L 8-2 vs. Portland Winterhawks - 2014 L 5-0 vs. Kelowna Rockets - 2015 W 2-1 vs. Kelowna Rockets - 2016 L 7-0 vs. Tri-City Americans - 2018 L 3-0 vs. Vancouver Giants - 2019
Roberts
The Victoria Canuck- I mean Royals season comes to an end. Not to take away from how good the Giants did, but injuries really played a big role in the Royals losing so badly.
ruilin96
I was at Game 4 and I am glad Outhouse’s last WHL game is on home ice and the fans get to give him a proper send off.
canuck73_3
Royals hit injuries and a wall, not to mention McDonald going full bonehead in Kamloops and getting suspended. On to better things next year.
Roberts
I hope the Prince Albert Royals- I mean Prince Albert Raiders win. They have had so many former Victoria Royals players, including their coach too.

It's a no-brainer. I was worried how Gould would do as the number 1 goalie.
goalie13
I was reading this article on the minimum wage lawsuit against the WHL: https://www.tsn.ca/whl-asks-players-to-reject-minimum-wage-lawsuit-1.1313089 One tidbit jumped out at me... Quote The Oil Kings were the WHL’s most profitable club in 2016, with a $1.4 million profit, while the Victoria Royals reported the largest loss at $1.5 million. I wonder how long they can keep that up? I would hate to lose our WHL team again.

I wonder how that managed to happen, they've always been fine in the average attendance lists.

They're right there with Kelowna and Seattle... http://www.hockeydb.com/nhl-attendance/att_graph_season.php?lid=WHL1979&sid=2019 My guess is the problem is the travel. They have to add the cost of the ferry on every road trip. Plus, I bet they wind up with extra hotel / food costs due to the ferries too. For example, Kelowna plays in Kamloops, after the game they can go home. Victoria plays in Kamloops, after the game there is no way they will make it on the 9pm ferry. Do they get a hotel room or sleep on the bus?
goalie13
The pre-season schedule is out.
