Follow the money; who profits?

The police get unwarranted power and fancy cars, guns, helicopters, etc.

The gangs get to make all that money and leverage the cash flow into hard addictions and prostitution.

The politicians get paid off (I am assuming; I have no facts) to support this system and keep it illegal.

Is legalization part of any of the opposition party platforms?

I believe decriminalization is one of the official platforms of the BC NDP.

We only get to vote for the candidate in our individual riding, not the eventual premier or prime minister, so get to know your candidates and see if there isn't one you can support.

If not, vote anyway, and vote against the incumbent, as your vote will count as one of the people who do not want to return that politician to power.

Actually for some RCMP officers they think it is fun and games to have Crown Counsel go through the charge assessment process. There is no incentive for the police to not do this.

Yeah, I'm sure they love wasting their own time and having their superiors scolding them and telling them to forget the small stuff and look at the greater picture.
