EagleShield
Just an idea I had. Redo the top 10 picks from a particular year and compare them to how they actually went. I'll start with 2004: How they should have gone: 1. Evgeni Malkin 2. Alexander Ovechkin 3. David Krejci 4. Mike Green 5. Pekka Rinne 6. Ryan Callahan 7. Alexander Edler 8. Andrew Ladd 9. Mark Streit 10. Cory Schneider How they actually went: 1. Alexander Ovechkin 2. Evgeni Malkin 3. Cam Barker 4. Andrew Ladd 5. Blake Wheeler 6. Al Montoya 7. Rostislav Olesz 8. Alexandre Picard 9. Ladislav Smid 10. Boris Valabik Overlap = 3/

Monty
I think Blake Wheeler still goes in the top 10. His numbers playing for Winnipeg are impressive, considering the team has trouble scoring. It took time for him to develop, but he's turned out well. Still think he goes before Green, based on his downward spiral, and Streit, due to his age. Legend Killer
mark streit was also 26... nobody would take a 26 year old at 9th overall lol i'd do 2004 like this; but hey, hindsight, right.. This is why scouting is important. clearly we had good scouts that year. 1. Ovechkin 2. Malkin 3. Krejci 4.Franzen 5. Edler 6. Green 7. Callahan 8. Schneider 9. Ladd 10. Wheeler. Blueberries
Nope. I saw this article on Saturday but didn't bother posting it here. Not worth any Canucks fan time. Epic fail by NHL. Pretty much a re rate. That fact that one of the countries best defensive forward is not worthy of being drafted in round 2, is epic fail. Unless he's ranked 51, but none the less fail. Nothing to lose, all to gain.
