Could it be that the rumours swirling out of New York are true? Veteran Radek Dvorak is said to be packaged with young talent Nick Palmieiri and Ty Wishart as a sort of "minor league starter pack". The trio could be available for a pick or prospect IF the whispers are to be believed. Teams looking to build that depth and willing to take a chance to do so would be wise to contact GM P.O. quickly as he tends to get things summarized very fast once he has made up his mind, again assuming he has indeed made up his mind to ship out these three talented players.

WJC/Rangers News:

Zach Stepan and Pat Sieloff both survived Thursday's cuts to the TEAM USA WJC roster. The team now down to 31 young hopefuls will be trimmed further in 4 months time as the WJC winter event comes more sharply into focus.

Nick Ebert was unfortunately cut, however we could see him back in the main camp in time for this winters WJC Nick apparently was not bad, he just was not a standout this summer in Lake Pacid.

Nick Ebert — His offensive game never really materialized and his defensive game was solid, if unspectacular, so this was another unsurprising cut. He wasn’t good, he wasn’t bad, Ebert was just somewhere in the middle and in a highly-competitive camp, the middle is not a great place to be. It was hard to see what kind of role he could play on the team in camp, but he’s a guy I think USA Hockey should continue monitoring as there are elements of his game that could prove helpful. They just didn’t really show up in LP.

One last note on prospect Netminder Joonas Korpisalo: he appears to be Finnlands number one, or at least is being given an extended look for the job as he has been given a heavy workload in Lake Placid and has been sharp behind a less robust Finnish squad than last year's team which itself finished out of the medals.

In Real LIfe Canucks related WJC news: Brendan Gaunce scored the winning goal and added an assist AND Hunter Shinkaruk also had a goal and an assist as Canada beat Finland at the Lake Placid development camp scrimmage on Wednesday. Not to be left out Bo Horvat is showing off impressive set up skills as he is raking in the assists all week long, game after game.

Glad to have been able to come to terms with Colin as he will help bring grit and make our bottom six, and team as a whole, tougher to play against. We would like to thank Agent Vanderhoek for the smooth negotiation process. With this addition, our forward lines are now complete:

Jamie Benn - Matt Duchene - Daniel Alfredsson

Sven Baertschi - Mikko Koivu - Eric Fehr

Gustav Nyquist - Peter Regin - Colin McDonald

Marcus Foligno - Peter Holland - Daniel Winnik

Brandon Bollig

And the Nashville Predators goaltending woes are over! We are ecstatic to welcome Nicklas to our team! We feel that he still has the potential to lead us and Minnesota (in real life) into the playoffs. Starting goaltender in the NHL c2x.
