Through a ton of injuries this month, must say I am very pleased with how my team has been able to remain among the top-10 in the league, given how many teams around the league have much improved squads this season, and being without 4-6 players through the first month of the season, many other players have stepped up their production and helped fill in the void. Our defense in particular have been outstanding, keeping us afloat most nights, from top to bottom, they have been outstanding.

Some good and bad news, but mostly bad on the Panthers injury front. On the bright side, Pageau came back tonight but with no points and a -2 rating. Charlie Coyle could return to the Panthers lineup as soon as this Friday according to some sources, whatever that is worth. Darren Helm who was expected to be back last night against the Rangers, suffered a setback last week, but he is expected to make his season debut sometime on the Red Wings Western Canada road trip.

James Neal won't be skating for at least another week, so he will likely be out 2-3 more weeks at the very least. Chris Stewart and Michael Handzus' status' have yet to be determined so they will remain day-to-day for the time being, and we are hoping they return to the lineup soon.

Will update our lineup when more info comes out on Stewie and Zeus

WAIVERS: The Columbus Blue Jackets have claimed Nick Schultz off waivers from the St. Louis Blues.

(As CBJ currently has no active roster spot for Schultz, he will be automatically placed on waivers at 9:50am Oct.29th if a roster spot is not cleared for him by then, or if CBJ places Schultz on waivers before then)
