To FLA: Michael Stone Chad Johnson To VAN: Connor Hurley Brian Lashoff Chase Balisey Very happy to have finally added a backup goalie and a very solid defenseman to our organization, we feel Chad is a very solid goaltender and we needed to add depth. Fasth has not started an NHL game since October 16th - he had 33 saves in a win over the Flames that evening. He is 2-1-0 with a 3.33 GAA and .877 SV% in three starts this season. Fasth has a solid matchup to make his return to the crease when the Ducks take on the Hurricanes. And not a day too soon! WB Viktor! Overall the Rangers squad really held it together during a trying first 45 days of action. Through about 20 games we have had well above our share of injuries roll through, at one point six injured players and a rolling average of three. Through it all, and I have to say on the back of Mike Smith, primarily, we have managed to linger in the top ten. With some puck luck, the skill and depth our squad has, and a healthy locker room, we hope to improve back to the top three, and maybe, just maybe taste top of the league status once again.
