Nuxfanabroad
Reading the morning paper here in Japan, to find this sad news. Clapton, Neil Young, Skynard all greatly admired this brilliant guitarist/songwriter/producer with the 'Tulsa Sound'. You could hear what Mark Knopfler would become, in Cale's style. Nuxfanabroad
Tearloch, Couple yrs back heard Cale's, 'Santa Cruz' & was astonished. At first, thought it was Dire Straits, or solo Knopfler. Much as I love Knopfler's work, seems obvious where he got his sound.
