Once Philadelphia made the offer sheet, Gillis realized that Nashville would counter offer rendering any subsequent offer sheet pointless. He met with him to declare interest. Also once Weber signed the new contract with Nashville, one year had to pass before he became available.

As of now, he is. However with the cap where it is this season, making a play for Weber is prohibitive.

As soon as the season ends though, expect him to be traded. David Poile refused to sign those clauses for a reason.

Think Edmonton will be the guys to get him?

Ahh ok...Love to have him hate to trade for him with what the asking price would be and those clauses mean bidding war and that will be huge prices especially with the room Philli will have after Timo cap is off the books...Then theres Edmonton that could easily move Eberle/Nuge/Yak+

That's wrong actually. They met for three hours and by all accounts Weber was interested but had to wait for Nashville to meet the Philly offer according to league rules.

Sorry to burst your BC hating bubble. Now go play with the gators.

According to y'alls gm,Playing in B.C was not on Shea Weber's Wish list, but that's just he said
