Many goalies go through stretches where they'll save 59+ consecutive shots during a season, but they don't get a chance to do it all in one game because you NEVER see that many shots registered by one team. It's still impressive, but let's not pretend that this makes him some elite goaltender now. IIRC, Brian Boucher holds the record for consecutive shutouts, and he was nothing more than a journeyman backup... Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
