Nice, considering thats why JB brought him here..or does he think its for his goal scoring prowess?

I think he means he's not a top six guy, and those two kids are - will be. He can't play those minutes, and be effective - it's not in him.  That's why guys like Lucic are special: they can play top minutes and still have enough in the tank to fight.  Not all players have the same aerobic capacity.  I think that's his meaning.

We fight because the NHL is an old boys  club and so long as it remains that way there will be a spot for talentless thick skulled hacks.

And football should only be touch, no tackling - that's too rough.  Basketball should have no hard fouls, and baseball no high inside pitches.  These sports are tough, played at the highest levels by tough guys.  This toughness (fighting) you are so dead against has been part of the game since its conception, and is a SKILL UNTO ITSELF.  these guys who fight have great courage to do so.  When Sbisa fought a goon, that took guts.  It's a tough game.  The staged goon fights are gone, and only existed for about 25 years, mostly after expansion, because the league got watered down, and skating was not something all players were good at.  Now all guys need to keep up, but if they can add fighting to their skill set GREAT.  we want those guys in or top minute players.

Well, when you are getting second line minutes and in key situations, maybe you think you don't need to fight to help the team. On the other hand, if Willie D was managing minutes better the 4th line would go off like a cannon when and if they saw the ice.

Just another case of not knowing one's identity or role on this team.
