wren223 Posted March 26, 2016 Share Posted March 26, 2016 I'm with the few others who stated that a team is built form the net out. Demo is one of the best goaltender prospects out there. Trade him for anything and you make any success harder. You just don't get a chance to have such high end goal talent all the time. The Finns are good but I wouldn't give up that bright goal future for them. There will be guys like the Finns in the draft next year and the year after. Demo doesn't come along all the time. I'd say no to any deal with Demko in it. Who plays goal for us in the future? Someone we are getting in free agency? Why? We already have it. We trade Miller while his value is high along with gaunce, our 2nd and maybe some sort of addition like the rights to vrbata or hamhuis or just give them our declining edler. That's overpaying slightly but the Canucks would just be getting rid of players that barely or don't have a future with the team.
