Parayko is still on a great contract and only has to be qualified as a RFA after next season whereas Shattenkirk is UFA after next season. STL would be foolish to do this instead of unloading Shattenkirk. Maybe they can get a 1st for KS since top 2 D seem to be at a premium - he's been linked heavily to BOS who have both the cap room and 2 firsts this year?
