For Immediate Release:

The New York Rangers have come to terms with the 4th overall draft pick of the summer, Brady Tkachuk!

Signing the young phenom to a three year ELC mid training camp bodes well for a team that happens to have a potential top six roster spot available. "Brady Tkachuk is an outstanding talent even in his youthful first pro season it is clear and easy to see what we all admire about this kid, happy to have him on board and we will see if Coach thinks he is ready to make the big step right away. Nothing is guaranteed on our roster as it is a merit based squad, and every man in the room knows the metal of the man beside him. We don't have any walk on spots here." ~team General Manager Primal Optimist was quick to say

However, for a week now in line rushes, Brady has been working with some of the best offensive talent on the team and sticking with them in scrimmages. The job could be his to lose at this stage as the team management and owner both agree, it is time to crank things up and take the next step as a team.

I dunno, probably in pretty tough to make a deep Sens roster...

before @Primal Optimist corrects me on the team sheet, base salaries for rookies are max 900k per season, so the bonus will be adjusted accordingly on this and other deals posted showing 950k per as base salaries.

Thank you, CBA.

@ActionJax09 and @canuck2xtreme can chime in, but this move cannot be processed due to CBA Article 3 " Roster Limitations "

NOTE: Players who are suspended while on the active roster cannot be moved off the active roster for the duration of their suspension. "

Hmm. So according to CapFriendly, Jake Dotchin is now inactive after having his contract terminated. I can't locate any official wording that it's been done though, but it seems to be assumed that it is? I don't know what to think, but I'd terminate the deal here too if I could. Do I need more, or official, conformation?

https://www.capfriendly.com/players/jake-dotchin

you will need to be patient while this is sorted out, working it out as we speak.

Previously to terminate a contract would involve said player signing overseas or retiring. Since there is no literature to actually back this up in the CBA and this case does not involve either scenario we need to confirm this is eligible for termination or if you must retain the contract and find other ways re: Unconditional Waivers to buyout the player etc.
